    After 3 months the latch mechanism failed

    The mount was easy to use and held the phone well. The window suction cup worked well, and is easy to release. After about 3 months, the ratcheting mechanism stopped clicking consistently when I tried to reattach the phone. It would take some fiddling around to get it to "grab". A few weeks later, it stopped working completely. The green button that releases the arms would not pop-out on its own, as if a spring inside had broken. If I manage to grab the green button and pull it out, then it will ratchet again. The button is small and slippery, so that isn't a good solution. I am past the product return window, so I might try to do a "MacGyver" solution and use duct tape or epoxy to make a little handle so I can grab the green button to pull it out.

    Good for the price. 1 works 1 failed.

    I have two of these that I have purchased. Both were on sale for a good price. The one that failed. Appears to be to plastic inside the suction cup. I could maybe attempt the super glue it but probably won't hold. My other one works really well and I'm happy with it. I like that I can maneuver the arm anywhere so that my phone can stay cool behind the vents and not overheat. It's easy to turn horizontal if I want to sit in my car and watch a video. You have to get used to the release with the green button by using three fingers to catch the phone, but once you get used to it it's normal. There are two other ways to mount this product. I don't like the setup for the vent mount. I feel my vents are too weak to hold with just a single hook. I think stronger vents this would be fine. I don't really want to put a sticky thing on my dash. The company offers a 1-year warranty, but I do not think for the price I purchased shipping it back to the manufacturer would be worthwhile. I would feel safe purchasing one of their more expensive mounts with the 1-year warranty.

    Decent Vent Mount phone holder

    I've only used the vent clip mechanism so far (haven't tried the suction cup yet). It was simple to install and my phone stays more securely in place than other phone holders I've owned due to the terminal hooks on the pieces inserted into the vent slats. Not the sturdiest material, but I think it will last awhile. Price is reasonable

    Excellent Phone Mount!

    This phone mount is sturdy, secure, and easy to install. The suction cup holds firmly without slipping, even on longer drives, and the adjustable grip keeps my phone stable.     Brackerton- TripGrip Car Holder is the best.

    I love my Brackerton- TripGrip Car Holder. I have two different sized iPhones, personal and work, and they both fit snuggly, and I have no fear of them falling out. The suction for the windshield or window is strong. I pulled applying pressure attempting to remove it from my windshield, and I was not able to pull it free. This holder that will work for most phone, The Brackerton- TripGrip Car Holder also comes with a vent attachment if that's more your style. So, you get two different options to choose from. I know you will be happy with this purchase.

Please try rinsing off both the suction cup on the mount as well as the windshield / dashboard with water in order to ensure there is no residue blocking suction.
