I did laser 10 years ago in a professional office. Now, as my hair started to grow back, I bought the Silk-expert Pro5 IPL epilator, as I have light skin and dark hair. Making this decision was difficult, but I decided to trust other reviews. After 4 weeks, I can see the hair already gone, even when they say it will take 6-8 weeks to slow down the growth. The fact the epilator recognize the color of your skin automatically is a plus, as in some areas, we have darker skin than others I am pretty happy with my decision to have this epilator!

I'm really disappointed with this product after giving it a try for 4 weeks. I followed the procedure as mentioned in the manual - clean shaved the area and then used the IPL before using any product and moisturized only after the treatment was done. First, I tried it on my lower legs, like a patch-test to see within 24 hours if I'd have any side-effects, which it didn't. The epilator was easy to use and I didn't feel any burning pain or anything. However, after 2-3 days, I started seeing tiny hairs grow back like it'd normally do after shaving. As the product claims it'd take certain weeks to see visible change, I patiently continued the treatment for 3 more weeks. It was always itchy after the treatment, which they say it's normal and would be better with moisturizing heavily twice a day. So I did that too but that didn't help at all and after 4 weeks of initial treatment now I'm having an unbearable itching problem that started giving me hives and making it very difficult to even sleep. In the areas where they itch, I've also noticed some pigmentation that resembles the IPL head shape. The epilator showed that my skin was Type 4, which would mean it would be effective on my olive skin type with dark black hair. But with this severe itchiness and a failed trial over 4 weeks time without any visible change, I decided to return this. I would have given it more time if Best Buy had extended time to return but again with the itchiness and pigmentation, I don't think it's even worth it.

This is the first time I tried IPL Hair Removal System and I must say I loved the results in just about 2-3 treatments. I love this product, it is really simple to use and I was surprised how quickly it gets work done. I went through the manual before using it. Firstly you must shave all visible hair from the area you want to treat and the skin must be clean & dry. I tried this on my one leg and one underarm first so that I could see the difference side by side. I have seen a noticeable difference in just about three treatments which are about a 30-40% decrease in hair density. You need to repeat the process every week and you should start seeing the noticeable results in just after 3-4 sessions. After the third week, I have noticed that the hair growth on that leg and underarm was slower and hair is getting finer with some bald patches. So far I am very happy with the results. Initially, I was thinking it to be a painful process but it was not at all painful and all I felt is a light sting. I love that I can control the level of intensity on my skin as my own preferences. I use the standard-setting on my leg and gentle setting in my underarm area. This can now really save me time and money & there is no need to go to a salon for waxing and spend dollars. It comes with a razor, additional precision head (to tackle the smaller areas like face, bikini area, etc) & a pouch to keep all the stuff together. I am glad I got this and will continue to use this in other areas to get the best results. It is pricey but the end result is worth the money. I am very happy with the comfort of this machine and its overall results in such a short time. This is one of the best products I’ve used for myself. Highly recommend. I bought it as a Christmas gift for my wife and the problem started when they promised to deliver it before Dec.25 but they only delivered it in the first week of Jan 2021. The box arrived damaged and the some pages of the manual were torn. The manual came inside the other box inside the main box. The main box seal wasn´t sticking to the box anymore. So clearly the product has been used before and BestBuy sold it as a new item. She didn´t use the product yet but I will return it.

So I bought this one as an upgrade on my old IPL epilator, mainly because old one doesn't have a gliding mode, and having to hit each square of skin was tiring, so I ended up not using as often as I should. That being said, the gliding is still my favorite feature, it makes the process a lot faster and easier. Besides that, I've enjoyed how easy it is to use, how the strength adapts to my skin tone (you can choose 3 settings but it adapts within a range on each one) This is great for when you move across darker patches like knees. As for the hair reduction, I've noticed results from the second pass I did, with hair growing slower? Also some of the hair fell off, which is great! I haven't used it long enough to see lasting results but for now I've got better results than with my old one. And lastly, I love the quality of this machine and it's packaging. It looks gorgeous, it's comfortable and easy to use, like you would expect from Braun.

I’m a woman and I’m 30%+ Lebanese. I am pale and hairy. This is the BEST. I’ve had it for 3 years now? I do face, underarms, legs, and the areas in between. Consistency is key! I used to have three hairs growing out of every follicle and a 5 o’clock shadow immediately after shaving - not anymore! I haven’t bought a razor and this has essentially made epilating unnecessary. I’ll buy another when this one burns out!!

I have been thinking of getting this product for long time and I was just scared to use if I can burn myself. I am so glad I got it! Easy to use and it works great! I have had lazer hait removal in places before. I wish I got this product long time ago instead of wasting my money in those places. I strongly recommend it. I started to see difference after one week I wasn’t even expecting that early.

I’ve had this for a little over a month now and it’s AMAZING! I am not a super hairy person so I’ve done just a few treatments on my legs and underarms and the hair is already gone. My main purpose was to do my bikini line and there is significant improvement there! I have used it a couple of times a week to start off and to get to my desired results faster. I like the fact I can use it as many times as I want/need in the comfort of my own home. It stings a little sometimes but if you’ve had wax or pro laser treatments before this is nothing in comparison. It may seem a little pricey but compared to getting waxed or going to get pro laser treatments it is a serious money saver. I highly recommend!!!

Works great! You will start to notice a difference I would say after four weeks definitely worth the money great product only downside is it doesn’t come with goggles to protect your eyes but you can buy that on Amazon

Been using this for about 9 weeks now. I’ve seen significant change in hair growth on my legs, underarms, and pubic area. My legs are basically hair less, I can go two weeks without shaving now. However, underarms and public area are not completely hairless— but the hair is definitely growing back a lot slower. I don’t regret investing in this! It’s easy to use!

First of all for products like this to work you need to be an ideal candidate. The more fair skinned and dark haired you are the better the results. The other concept to understand is that most of the products are not permanent hair removal. They will likely reduce significantly and may not see hair growth to the same degree or frequency of regrowth but not likely totally permanent. Hormone changes through your life or pregnancy or hormone based treatments could all effect your outcomes. That being said, I used the Braun Silk-Expert Pro and have noticed great results. It has been a safe home option during COVID so I have no grievances with this product and its results. I have used this product on previously professional med spa grade treatment areas and new areas. I would recommend this product as I can continue to treat myself and avoid expensive salons or med spa visits. I feel like the price is reasonable considering I can treat any area I want whenever I want and don't have to keep purchasing packages or touch-up when needed.

The product is well built and quality. I bought this product for my wife as a anniversary gift since we couldn't afford to go to real office for Lasik Body Hair Removal Treatment. The treatment cost is very expensive and divided into many sessions. Braun - Silk-expert Pro 5 IPL Epilator - White/Gold replaced the walk in office treatment for whole less, and the result turns out very effective and cost reduced for long run. I would recommend to buy the two years Geek Squad Project Replacement because its come in very handy to get replaced in the future if there any defective occurred during the treatment. I’ve been using it for about three weeks. I think I have less hair on my legs, but my hair is sparse there anyway. I’m not sure yet on the lady parts and pits - TBD I will check back with an update. PS The razor it comes with (Venus silk) is awesome; I bought replacement heads and have kept using it

I am liking it.Thought it was going to be painful, but is very reasonable . Have noticed a bit of more slow growth in armpits , have not notice improvement yet in the jawline or face. Will update my review later, have used for weekly for a month.

I bought the Braun IPL in April and just finished my 12 weeks. I have to say that I LOVE IT! Hair on legs, armpits and arms is completely gone. Bikini line as well. Note that if you wanna do a full Brazilian it will take longer but I can say I am half way there. Will keep using it until it's all gone! Don't hesitate to purchase! Great investment!!!

This product works great. I’ve only used it a couple times but I am very happy with the results so far. It comes with a great case to keep everything organized and it looks great too. I will be recommending this to all my friends.

Amazing product! It works just like the treatments you would get done at the laser spa, for a lot more money. To me, this was a one time purchase, that I can use on multiple areas of my body. After four months of use, I have no more hair growing on under arms, chin, and upper lip area. Very little hair growing on legs and biquíni area.

I've had the Silk Expert 3 for several years and I finally dropped it one too many times and the bulb smashed. So I had an excuse to upgrade and so glad I did. This machine sends out the flashes so much faster! And the pinpoint head is great for those hairs in hard to reach curves. This thing is still as heavy and awkward as my old one. I wish they'd put some grip lines on the outer shell - just fits in my hand + heavy + curvy + smooth means I'm almost certain to drop it at some point :/ at least this comes with a sturdy case to keep it somewhat protected.

I have struggled with unsightly facial hair my entire adulthood. I've looked and looked for products to help with this, without much luck at all. Most treatments options were expensive salon only options. Then I came across a young lady's blog that spoke about in home IPL treatments. I was very excited to try this being that it was finally something I could afford. I researched products and Braun had great reviews that were within my price range so I took a leap of faith and bought it. I've done 4 treatments (as of today) and I can definitely see a difference in how fast my hair grows throughout the day. It's slower than before I starting using this product. Once I have done 12 treatments, as suggested, I will update my review from there. However, so far, I'm very pleased with this product. Thank you Braun for making this product affordable and one that's working great as of now!!
