Played this on a long flight, has a lot of similarities to past games, however does not do much new

it has its charms and cute characters for modern jrpgs but world seemed small and character progressions was not very satisfying for me. i expected it to have more skills and variety of strategic choice in combats. i only used 3-4 skills in later stage of the game becuz 100+ skills available in the game were useless most of cases.

It's a beautiful game but it feels underbaked. The games backgrounds look amazing but the character animations constantly stutter in combat. I would have been fine with the character models from the 3ds because this looks like a bad ps4 port. Plenty of other exclusives have shown what the switch can do and this game leaves me wanting to play it on another platform. Shame.

Big fan of previous 3DS games. Similar combat system with minor improvement. Visual is much better.

This is an okay game. Decent graphics. Not the best game I’ve played but definitely not the worst.

Enjoyed it. Didn’t take too long to beat it for the cost of the game. Has some replay ability.

I'm not going to lie, I bought a switch just for this game based on how much I love to the previous entries in the series. They changed everything I loved to the worst possible alternative. I loved how you could control the random encounter rate and choose to turn off experience points if you wanted to keep grinding but not be overpowered. They replace that with monsters running around the map. I was overpowered within the first couple hours of the game and it's just not even fun anymore. I find something that I don't like about it and set it down about every half an hour or so so it's kind of amazing that I have 14 hours into the game but realistically I haven't gotten anywhere. I've fallen asleep playing it a few times. Do yourself a favor and check out Bravely Default and bravely second on the 3DS. This is just a underwhelming and forgettable jrpg with a job system.

I really enjoyed this game. Not as good as the 3ds titles though.

Put about 100 hours In and I was not disappointed at all.

It's a good game if you like grindy long jrpgs which I do.
