    Excellent toaster, for only a year. Worked flawlessly, then at exactly 1 year to the day... won't toast on one side of bread..have to do the toast flip routine. Read reviews on big online..same issue. Consumer Reports you lied! Very nice function and sturdy but what is point if it doesn't do what you bought it to do....TOAST. So this is now Toast. This was used only occasionally for Sunday breakfasts, Two slices,,, or maybe a bagel. Sad.

    I don’t think I’ve loved a toaster more than this one. It was awesome! You knew when your toast was about to pop. Always toasted things perfectly.... then exactly one year later to the date... it stopped working. RIP little guy

    If I could give this toaster a minus star rating, I would. This is hands down the worst toaster I’ve ever experienced and also the most expensive. It barely toasts one side of the bread on the highest setting, then needs the bread flipped and go another half cycle. Results? Slightly toasted bread. Even with contact from Breville customer support and following their advice, it still doesn’t work even close to the cheapest toaster I’ve ever owned. Don’t make the same mistake as me and purchase it. Hoping Breville stands behind their warranty.

    Not sure this toaster is worth the price. Darkness lever is very sensitive and can burn your toast with just the slightest change of the lever. The "A Bit More" button is a waste too. Cheaper toasters probably do a better job than this one.

    This toaster stopped working on one side after about a month. I like the features on it but toasting my bread sound be #1

    Actually returned it-it didn’t cook evenly and no matter where it was set it either burnt the toast or didn’t cook it enough -expected more for a$100 toaster!

    Last toaster (another brand) lasted only 5 months, so I decided to spend more money for a better Brand toaster. They say, you get what you pay for. Not this time. I bought this toaster and it didn't want to stay on. The lever would keep popping up. I returned it for a refund. I will not buy pop up toasters anymore. They all break down it a short period of time, that's why they offer extended warranties.

    This toaster has a mind of its own, will mostly pop up before done, and bread will not pop up high enough without burning fingertips.

    Broke in first weeks of use. One side of toaster fell. Bagels and English muffins roll down to lower side of toaster. Have to unplug device and then use chop sticks (wood) to remove items do to it not lifting when cycle complete. DO NOT BUY THIS ONE.

    Be careful! I usually love this brand and this toaster was fine for about 8 months. Suddenly it started tripping whatever outlet we plugged it into and the unit actually sparked!

    The worst toaster ever! Does not toast evenly and after just a few months it is no longer working properly. If you do toast once the cycle is done the taster will beep continually every 30 - 45 seconds until you have to physically unplug it. If I could have given it less than 1 star I would have.

    It stopped working completely after having it EXACTLY one year. Very disappointed as this is my go to brand for small appliances and have never been disappointed till now.

    We follow the directions exactly as if they were written in the instructions. The first four or five times the toast came out just fine. Later on it started to toast unevenly. $100 had better toast my toast perfectly.

    Very nice well built toaster; however, it does not toast bread evenly. Both ends are burnt & the middle is barely toasted.
