I had to replace my very old laser printer. I've had ink jets and the moderately priced ones don't seem to work well and constantly need the ink cartridges replaced. I chose this Brother laser printer for home use and am very happy I did. It was well priced, easy to set up and the print jobs are quick and sharp.

Best alternative when your printing is far and inbetween and color is not a mandatory requirement. Considered most reliable among the lasers printers tested. Some what easy to setup Wi-Fi easy with WPS. Reliable printing. both side printing a plus. Wi-Fi printing works great. Had some problem with printing from desktop. All in all, great printer and great price.

This printer is perfect for our home. It fits nicely on a shelf in our office and isn't noisy. The wireless printer makes printer from multiple devices, including our phones, extremely easy. The quality of the print is also great along with only having to wait seconds for it to print. I wish I would have bought it sooner.

Bought this because I got tired of having to buy (color) cartridges constantly to print ANYTHING!. So far so good. Good quality, quick to print and quiet too! Haven't even had to reload toner yet, Hoorah!

I checked this printer out for occasionall use at home and it has been an excellent choice. Easy to set up and connect to my home system. Prints great and the wireless feature works with no problems. I love the large ink cartridges this uses rather than the expensive little ones. Great value for the money. .

We've had it about a month and love our new Brother printer. Not only does it print two sided if wanted, but since it's wireless I can print from my iPhone or iPad. Couldn't do that previously.

I've been using inkjets for so long, I forgot about the speed and crispness of documents printed on laser printers. This is a great machine, easy to set up and with a small footprint. Duplex printing is a bonus! Kudos to Best Buy store pick-up staff. They are quick, quick, quick!

Laser printer served my purpose for home use, easy setup and wifi connection took a little practice (15mins max). But its a breeze to use it, would definitely recommend to anyone. Crisp printing and ease of use. Brother's quality has been great and consistent, no doubt about it.

im not as tech savvy as most folks but the setup for this printer was incredibly easy and when it printed out our first job everything was smooth. It is a good size for a small desk and looks clean and sharp. I'm very satisfied w the product.

Easy to set up. Print quality is excellent. Printer is quite fast but a bit noisy. There is a "quiet mode" available which is indeed quiet, but the print speed is noticeably slower. Overall I'm very pleased with this printer.

This printer is now our go-to device for all of our computers and iPads. It prints on both sides of a sheet of paper and prints directly from iOS devices. Very fast and the replacement laser toner cartridges are reasonably priced.

I work at a mission, and we needed a B/W Laser printer to replace our 8 year old printer (started to misbehave). This printer fit the bill perfectly. Easy to setup, reliable, expectedly clear prints, and very affordable!

We use this printer for all our black and white printing - it's much cheaper than using an inkjet. It was easy to set up and works without problems. It has a useful internal webpage that lets you monitor how much you've been printing. We also have an all-in-one inkjet for color, copying and scanning, but for everyday printing, the laser is the cheapest route. The laser printer replaced a similar Brother laser printer that was still in good working condition - but when it came time to replace the drum, it was cheaper to buy a new printer than to buy a drum unit. Even so, laser printing is a fraction of the cost of inkjet printing.

I really love this item. I print many papers everyday. before, I used Ink printer. The price of ink is so high, but this is cheaper. And it has no jam. The color is clear. It is really useful for my work. I love it.

Most of my printing is b&w, need a printer that was fast and inexpensive. Ink cartridges and refilling became a pain, this printer is just what I needed. Good print that is super fast and both sides print. I'd recommend this for any small business who doesn't need color all the time.

This has been a great printer so far. It can print the small labels that I require for my business without any jamming or other problems. I have not had any problems with the printer nor have I had any with the other 2 Brother printers that we use.

An Epson user for 20 years, but time to get out of the ink business! Using USB for Mac laptops and desktop (better security), wireless for all iOS devices. No "sleeping" problems, great duplexing, fast! Will retire two ink jets when the current cartridges are depleted.

This is an excellent printer, I use it every day and it has worked fluidly. The only thing is sometimes it goes to sleep and it's a little hard to figure out how to turn off that setting. Other than that it's quick and I love the wireless feature.

In my home we have a college student and a teacher. Needless to say they do a lot of printing. This printer has been perfect. Prints fast, easy set up after reading the directions, and comes with a starter toner that gives you roughly 700 pages

I Googled "best cheap black and white printer" and this unit kept coming up. The price was right and I had it paired with a Macbook, a PC, an Android phone, an Android tablet, and an IPad - all in less than 1/2 hr. And I like the prints. Doesn't get much better than that.
