Nice printer for my son in his college dormitory as a freshman

It's tough to believe that in a world of bluetooth and wifi, that this product is so very difficult to connect. I definitely don't have wifi capability on this machine and the support numbers couldn't help me connect to a Macbook Pro. Definite thumbs down

Not flashy but does the job, wireless setup not easy

I purchased this for my family room in hopes of using it with my laptop and not having to hard wire it. It does work wireless, but the connection dies quickly. As a hard wired printer, it is great. I have never had issues with a Brother printer.

Great entry level laser printer for multipurpose use

Printing is too light and I did not realize it did not allow me to make copies of items, such as receipts, etc., only prints of documents from the computer. I intend to return it and purchase a regular printer that uses cartridges and opens up to make copies.

The only reason I'm giving it a 3 is bc Ive had no issues connecting this w a regular desktop but it's a mission and a hat to connect it to my mac laptop. It gets too complicated and the CD roms that come w it are useless to connect your mac.

This may be good for windows computers but absolutely useless for mac. I'm not sure why Brother would sell a stylish printer like this, with little to no ease of functionality for iOS, mac users for the wireless capabilities.

I got it setup for wireless use once. After I turned off the power it apparently lost the wireless settings. The small control panel and info window are not good for setup. I use it wired and it's a good printer.

Only problem in this unit after few weeks after printing unit shows no paper while paper slot is full. censer does not pick up paper so we have to remove complete paper tray and put back again and again.

would not buy it again.salesman talk me into buying a cheap printer, for a little more money i could of got a much better printer. printer has a small one line screen, very limited in functions.

This printer is used in our auction business and we haven't used it more than 6 times. We are already experiencing issues with it giving us trouble. Not sure if we would purchase one like it again.

This printer is great if your output is mostly 81/2 by 11. Other media must be done manually, one piece at a time. For some reason I'm not able to print more than one copy of a job at a time.

Have only had a month or two and it set up and worked perfectly until it froze in the dreaded and mentioned in some reviews "deep sleep" mode. I have tried numerous fixes that have seemed to reset it but it still does not work at all and then goes right back to deep sleep mode again. Very disappointing since most reviews are good and I had hoped to be one of them...

Read reviews and thought this is the one however could not get it to connect to either open SSID or a hidden SSID - tried Windows USB, MacBook USB, CD rom utilities but just not connecting. The test pages telling me it was not connected were perfect print quality. Still have my eye on it but until I see an easier way to connect, I will hold back. Ended up buying an Epson ink jet that connected first time to my hidden SSID.

This wireless product did not link up with my Apple MacBook Pro / or my iPad. I'm going to return it for an HP or cannon product.
