Menu is horrible. Had to find a video to set up to the network.

Nearly impossible to use wirelessly. On USB, it's a solid printer.

Allegedly syncs wirelessly with cell phones and iPads. Not! My son had a school paper and printing had to be done at FedEx for a paper written on iPad purchased at same time as printer. Woman working there had same problem with same printer!

looks like this printer isn't available anymore good! I don't like inkjet printers and this was the only toner printer in the store. I have nothing good to say about this printer. I wish I never purchased it

I just purchased this basic laser printer from Best Buy today as it was recommended by Consumer Reports and was on sale. I was a little worried about setting it up so I read several reviews and watched some YouTube videos as well. It turns out, the instructions were easy enough and I had no problems at all! I used the CD and my own USB cable. At first, my iPhone and iPad did not find the new printer, but after shutting each one down and then back on, both printed perfectly. Also, I had no problem with the printer in deep sleep mode. It responded quickly and is quiet compared to my old inkjet. Very happy!

Poor printer instructions. Was very hard to connect using WiFi and also hard to program using a hard wire connection. This model had very limited keyboard inputs. Hard to imagine a design like this.

Terrible trying to connect to the wifi. It takes me hrs and/or days trying to figure it out. Unfortunately, I no longer have a warranty.

This product is absolute garbage. This printer constantly loses the Wi-Fi connection. Save yourself from the stress of dealing with this garbage of a printer.

I spent a lot of time setting up this printer and it would never connect wireless. .Finally. Returned to store with no problem. The return was easy.

I went with this printer because the cost of Ink was just getting silly in my house. I realized we didn't need color printing so I started to look for a low cost Laser. This one worked great for me. It was easy to setup and get on my Wireless network using my laptop. After that all my other PC's on the network have found and haven't issues printing. The wireless is a nice addition as I can locate more centrally in the house for everyone. We haven't had a problem printing yet, and the quality is perfect for me.

What good is a printer that's not compatible with my QB software? Such a hassle! I returned this printer.

I really want to keep this laser printer, but it would not stay connected to my phone or computer.

I got this printer for small jobs. It can print quickly one page a day or 50 pages a day. I use a wire to connect with computer through the USB port. It is small enough to fit in most work spaces.

I bought this printer to upgrade from an inkjet printer, I wanted the better quality printing, more copies per cartridge, and the permanence of laser printing. It works great, it's fast, and does 2-sided printing on the fly. I did have a problem initially when it would go into Deep Sleep mode and my Mac was unable to awaken it. I checked on the 'net and then at Brother's website and discovered a firmware upgrade for the printer. I installed the upgrade and it now works perfectly. I have given it 5 stars because the newer printers will include this firmware and will not have the Deep Sleep problem I saw.

wireless products are difficult to set up...prefer the plug in

I had an old HP 1200 that I always thought was pretty fast (1 page 2.5 seconds). I plugged this in and loaded the drivers on the upstairs computer. Then I set it as network (peer to peer its the easiest) You will need a usb cable, put in the ssid (network password) (Im sure you all have that with your other gadgets. Threw in some paper and WOW it spits out a page in 1 second!! Printed 35 pages faster than I could get more paper. The quality was good. Your gonna love this printer. Once you have one computer (our upstairs) set up all other computers in your house are good to go!

BestBuy had the lowest price. Printer was easy to set-up. Got it for Xmas. So far everything working fine. Love the wireless AND duplex printing feature.
