We hesitated to replace our old printer with a Brother because we had no experience with this brand. It was easy to install, works well, and has been buzzing along during this tax season which required us to print a lot of forms. Easy to use, and the cartridges last reasonably long.

good for simple daily use - fast and efficient esp in printing labels

Had an HP for years, and it cost a fortune for ink. Have had this Brother for over a month, with moderate amount of printing and the ink levels have barely edged down. And, it was VERY easy to set up - had it connected wirelessly and printing in less time that it took to actually unpackage it.

I have both HP and Brother printers and have found the brother to be more dependable. No exception with this one as it was easier to set and works well with all our computers. The only negative is it doesn't approach the stated 12 CPM in black.

Initially it would not scan back to computer. I called support line and after about an hour they were successful in getting it to scan. Good printer, good quality prints and ink is considerably less costly than the HP I’m replacing

I've been very pleased with this printer--much less of an ink hog than other printers I've had.

I would definitely recommend a Brother printer to everyone. Good value for the features.

Good printer, with good speed and easy 2 side page printing.

"My Brother died," I said to the clerk. I thought she might burst into tears. No, no, I said, "My printer!" ( It had served me so well, I bought another, and it meets all my expectations. For the price, it is a gem.)

This is my second Brother printer in about 5 months. I also have a laser. Easy mobile printing. I haven't had to replace ink yet but replacement costs are supposed to be low.

Like this printer, but seems very slow in printing a page.

Have used this printer quite extensively and so far have printed far more on the ink than previously. Image quality is decent. I have not printed photos yet. I do like the double sided print feature, and to be able to save money was the biggest draw for me.

My son picked this one for me. Reviews were positive on the cheaper ink. It is a lot slower than my Canon was but needed to upgrade due to Windows 10 upgrade not so comparable. It's an ok printer just slow.

It prints good quality; not super fast but adequate.

I bought this for the fact that the ink is lower cost. We mostly print black and white and use the fax option. I notice that the build quality seems less sturdy than my previous HP, but it has worked OK for us.

I have used this printer for several weeks now and haven't had any problems. I was able to set it up by myself and didn't run into any problems. It is not the top of the line but is adequate for what I need to do.

It prints great and performs all of the other functions I needed. Takes a little bit of learning to fully use it and had to reset it in my print queue because my computer didn't recognize it.

Does everything I need in a printer and more! Used with Apple devices.

After several HP printer nightmares with ink cartridges, I selected this unit due to it's ratings for ink usage and costs. The additional benefits are it's size (about 2/3s the size of the HP it replaced), wireless connection, and print quality.
