Incredibly easy to setup. Wireless printing is a breeze, especially through a mobile device. Print quality is good. Seems a little slow. Scanner isn't the best of quality, but a nice feature when needing to send official documents.

Bought this to replace an Epson all in one that I had. Could never get the print heads to align on the Epson. I went looking for a new all in one and saw the reviews on the Brother and decided to give it a try. When I purchased the Brother, it was on sale which did play a small part in the decision to purchase. Setup was super easy, just follow the directions and you will be up and running in about 25 minutes. I do have this printer connected to my computer via USB and it works great. It also transmits wirelessly which is great with all the devices in the household. Have not changed the starter ink cartridges and they produce a nice, solid color. This all in one does a great job for the home user.

Replaced an HP printer with this Brother model. It's compact compared to the HP model. Printing, Scanning, and all other functions is easy to use. It's quite, and to this point is using much less ink that the HP, and has better quality. A great purchase!

Set up was easy. Has may functions for price. Jury is still out on ink cart.

So far so good. This is our second Brothers printer. It has some need features. You can print in color or black and white. It has an automatic cleaning feature. Nice clear print. Easy to use and understand.

This is a very efficient scanner/printer. I'm very pleased by the quality of the printing, both plain paper and photo paper. The scanner is effective and works both as a flat bed and multi-page feed. The software automatically brings your scanned pdf file up in whatever directory you've chosen, so it's easy to find. The printer software installed in a straight forward manner and has been functioning without issues. I like that you can set up scanning shortcuts on the LCD screen to remember your preferences. I've not had this printer long enough to know how economical it will be with ink, but all reports are that it is one of the best on the market with respect to that issue.

Software locks up my computer on restart, but just need to close the Brothers help link first. The wireless connection works great. The starter ink ran out quick! Replacement was the expected primary cost to use, and the replacement ink lasted a longer time. We are on our third set in 8 months of light home use. We don't use it enough to have tried refilling cartridges. We like it ok. You MUST read the instructions to use all the functions. The manual is available on-line and worth downloading. We bought the extended warranty as it is Chinese made, so we wanted it to last at least two years. Mostly, I scan in rebate forms before mailing them, and print out to-do lists.

This is a very good printer for the price. Very compact and prints good quality copies. There is a short lag but not long enough to complain about. I hope not to refill the toner any time soon.

Purchased this printer for several reasons. Was on sale, came with first set of ink cartridges and color cartridges are individual by color. HP is now moving to an all in one color cartridge. So when one color runs out you must replace the cartridge even though you still have ink in the other two colors. Very wasteful and increases the cost of the ink.

This Brother printer is so easy to use and the printer ink lasts MUCH longer than any other printer I've had! I'm constantly printing a whole bunch, being that in an online graduate student, which is why I love that the ink lasts a while.

After searching for the top color printers, I stumbled with this model.. and started checking the reviews in several pages... my turning point was the cost per printing which made my decision.. After I bought... installation was a no brainer.. and printing quality was much better than my 3 year old ink printer (which was draining my pocket due to my kids homeworks). If you are a heavy printer of kids homeworks I do recommend this printer.. I do have a laser jet printer which in my mind I say is cheaper to print in black/white.. but I can not confirm.

Print quality is really good for an inexpensive printer. Our printer is installed as a wireless printer and was very easy to install/setup with provided instructions. We have had the printer a short time and our only problem thus far appears to center around a potential flaw in a recent update of the printer driver from the vendor, which prevented printing of a particular PDF print file. Was able to switch back to the previous definition to correct the issue. So we have to wait and see how pleased we will be with this printer.

this came at a great price as part of a package discount, seemed best option for my limited use, mostly black and white... have read the concerns about brother customer service and uncalled for paper jam warnings, no problems there yet

I was looking for a printer and the salesman showed me this brand. I love how easy it is to operate and how long the ink lasts. I get great copies and printed materials. Very happy with the printer.

Save the ink last for a year. And also nice speeding print

This was the only multi-function device that had a small footprint, printed legal size, faxed, scanned and copied, at this price point, of any brand out there that was reviewed favorably. I am very happy with it, and it suits my needs. I have small print volume, even for an at-home office, so I don't tax it to its limits. The only small down-side for me is that to print on legal size paper, you can only feed 1 sheet at a time, and if you want to print double-sided, you have to take that paper, turn it over, and feed it into the printer from the back again. To print letter size double sided, the printer does it automatically - no extra feeding of paper needed.

This printer does a great job, price is very reasonable.

I bought this printer because of the low price per page printing with the Inkvestment system. So far so good - easy to use with Windows, Apple, and Android devices. As a bonus, it's much more compact than our previous all-in-one despite having all the same paper handling features like a multi sheet feeder on top and duplex capability. I read in a consumer magazine after I bought it that this printer uses a lot of ink during cleaning cycles. Hopefully this does not significantly shorten the ink cartridge life.

Wireless is the way to go. Nice printer for beginner.
