This product was difficult to set up. It prints slowly and lacks the quality I experienced with my previous Brother All-in-One Machine. The individual color cartridges are nice, as is the 2 year supply of cartridges that came with the printer.

This printer seemed like a great value because of the additional ink included. However, the print quality of things like glossy paper or Avery labels leaves much to be desired (smudges every time). For regular printing, it is great.

I guess I wanted this to be super duper easy to use. And it is. But it took me longer to set up and use than I expected. I expect most people would not have as much trouble as I did.

purchased on sale for work. Does not hold a lot of paper but did come with 3 sets of color ink backup. Speed of printing not great but it gets the job done

People gave this a great review but I'm confused. I do like the features that are offered but as a printer (which I would use the most) it is SLOW. I had a HP prior to this and it was fast. It takes for 20 pages - Word document - black and white - 15 minutes. If it is double-sided you are looking at 30. The free ink that I got though was great. I probably wouldn't buy this again.

I have used Brother printers in the past and decided to try one again when my HP bit the dust. This is the slowest printer I have ever used!! I keep it but purchased another HP for daily use.

This printer didn’t last a week. Extremely poor quality and the worst part was that I couldn’t return it because I came 2 weeks later to Best Buy and the representative said that it’s pass due the return time frame. Never buying again from them or from this company. Waist of time and money!

    Great Printer

This is my first printer from Brother and I did a lot of research before deciding on this model. I have used it for a couple of months now and I couldn't be happier! It prints clear, crisp copies and does a great job on photos as well. It has a small footprint for an all-in-one and the wireless connection is a great feature. I haven't had it long enough to comment on ink consumption, but I'm anticipating that it will be a lot more miserly than the ink-hog it replaced. So far, the only thing I would ding it for is that you have to manually switch media inputs from paper to photo and back again, which isn't hard but just a pain, and the reason I only give it 4 stars.

This Brother works better than other printers

The HP I had for a long time before I got the Brother ran out of ink quickly and it was expensive to replace. We were spending a lot of money on HP cartridges. With this Brother model the cartridges not only last a long time the quality is good also. It was a really easy setup, I chose to download the software and that worked well.

4 1/2 Stars for very good printer

I like this printer. It was very easy to setup. The scanner is excellent. It came with two years worth of ink and that was the main reason I purchased this model. The print quality is not as sharp and dark as my previous Brother printer. That is why I rated 4 1/2 stars instead of 5 stars. The print quality IS acceptable to me however. If really don't have to buy ink for two years then I'll consider this a very good buy.

    Ecnomical and useful

Bought today, set up was easy using wireless attached to IMac, window computers, iphones no hassle. Like the features it has for example access to Google drive, Drop box, one notes etc. can email or send documents to cloud drives , short cuts can be created for emails and for multiple people for cloud drives. Print in light colors, black print is fine , little slow otherwise an excellent printer for price and economy. Despite the fact it is slow and color printing is light I give it 5 stars for it's features and cheap price for cartridges how many pages it will print will know after few months.

Fax is the default setting, so it takes longer to start printing than other printers. There was always a big red X in the window, when I called brother technical support I was told that's the way it's made to be. I was not impressed with the technical support person.
