This particular printer from Brother is a hostage taker. If the color ink cartridges get too low, and, you still have plenty of "black" ink, too bad. The device will insist on you replacing the color cartridges before it will allow you to print anything...even if it is just black. We had just replaced the black and then had to buy color ink. A few days later, the warning messages started on the black ink cartridge again. Fortunately there was enough left to printout the tax returns. Looking for a printer that doesn't hold us hostage.

Dose the job it was made for be aware the the cartridge I purchased before this one did not work the printer did not recognise it even though it was a genuine brother cartridge

The printer dos not work with out it so if you need it buy it and use it as needed. I think if it sits with out use it drys out so keep on printing. And Be Happy

Blake ink seems to run out the fastest when I run things for school. It is great to be able to get the ink for a low price on Best buy and have it come to your door.

Brother cartridges provide good black/white and color printout. But they don't last long; either they dry up or mysteriously disappear. I don't need to print a lot; a few pages a month. But after 4-6 months, the ink level drops precipitously and I am required to change the color cartridges too even though all I do is print in black and white. Online review says this happens to prevent "air" getting into the printer head and damaging it. Disappointed that I have to change color cartridges too even though I print in black and white.

I always buy the Brother ink cartridges for my Brother printer. They are the only ones that are reliable. I have tried other brands and they do not always work for me.

I usually buy my Ink from the office supply stores. Bought it from Best buy instead because it was cheaper there for the same product (Brother Ink).

Ok. They three star review is because I meant to get the lc103 pack instead of these. Same cartridge but twice the ink for almost the same price. Brother ink is good ink tho.

I only give this four stars because: 1) The price is high and 2) The ink doesn't go very far. I don't print very often and when I do it is not that many documents. For the price, ink should last a lot longer. Still a good product.

I bought my printer and the ink and have not had a problem once. I highly recommend this product and ink to anyone. I print even from my phone wireless. Great product !!!!!

This cartridge is necessary for my printer. It does the job. I would have gotten the larger capacity refill if the store would have had it in stock, but they didn't. These regular ones don't seem to last long at my house.

No fuss, always works and gives the expected yeild of pages. Can definitely push it past when it says it's empty a bit, too.
