Posted .Hello DeeDee, stated page yields for genuine Brother cartridges are based on the ISO testing standards. The number of pages that can be printed with a cartridge is affected by several factors, including paper size, number of pages per print job, amount of print on each page, font size, and print content (graphics, charts, etc.). Print jobs with large text fonts, graphics, charts, and/or large amount of solid coverage (black or any given color) will use much more toner and will shorten the life of the toner cartridge. Nice color but short lived
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.These cartridges give a nice crisp image but the ink dissipates very fast. I wasn't printing large color items but they run out very quickly. Get the XL version if you go with this series.

Your printer is designed to stop all printing operations when any of the ink cartridges are have reached their end-of-life. This is to ensure the life of the printhead and to maintain premium print quality. Some ink from all the ink cartridges is used in periodic cleaning cycles. This helps to prevent issues such as printhead clogs and poor print quality.

Runs out fast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the overall quality of the print but what I don’t like is that it runs out way too fast. As soon as you can get used to using this cartridge, you will need to change it. I also tried to change only the black and not the color ink, which was practically brand new, but the primer wouldn’t work until I had to change ALL the colors, which of course is more money.
