    I think Brother printers in general waste ink. I have to keep printer off to make ink last longer. I use black tape on ink cartridges to fool the printer if it prevents printing in black when a color is empty. I'd rather pay more upfront for printer and less for ink and less often.

    I bought the Brother brand printer on the recommendation from a friend. The ink cartridges do not last long. By the time the printer head does its regular refilling cycle and the amount of times I print in black ink. I am already getting the 'low ink' warning.
