Always buy the brother ink. Refills have caused problems in the past and I have never had a problem with the brother ones.

I don't know if the ink cartridge is larger than the others on the market. The ink usage is less and less expensive to replace, which is a good thing since you can get more print for your money.

The high yield product allows me a to a month or more without having to buy more ink. My last brother printer did not allow you to use a higher capacity cartridge.
