Defective ink cartridges that can't be exchanged

After installing the ink cartridges, I noticed the ink levels showed low on my printer. Thought it must've been a glitch. The next time I went to print something, the ink showed to be empty. I tried to exchange the ink cartridges, but Best Buy wouldn't allow the exchange. There goes $60+ down the drain.

Well the new cartridges was all dried up! They was expensive so that's where I stand, so I bought a new Brother wireless laser printer and I works fine for what I need for printing!
