    The high yield black ink works best for me. It lasts forever and the quality is good even when the cartridge is almost empty.

    The advertised on box of 600 pages is overly optimistic. I print almost daily 10 pages per shipment of documents to send FEDEX shipments internationally. Further my wife prints several Word documents daily. Watching what we print on a daily basis it is no where near the 600 page yield. I would consider ourselves average home users.
