I bought this printer thinking it would be a long term printer instead of the cheap printers I have been buying. Long term the price to print would be less than the other printer I have. Since day one this printer has been a pain. The disk that came with the printer is old so I had to go onto the Brother website. This in itself was not problem and many times I go websites for other programs too. Well then the set up problems began. I got it set up and I found as I was printing things the computer would disconnect itself from the internet and stop printing... mid-print!! So I kept reconnecting every time I needed to print and often in the middle of printing. That got old fast. I contacted the company many times and they kindly had me make many different adjustments. Finally I stayed connected in between printing and it would complete the printing. However every so often it would disconnect again without any explanation. I have never had a connection problem with any of my printers. Even though the printer was connected to the internet and my computer and I was able to print the scanner and copier features were not connected to computer. The scanner is broken. It makes a very loud clicking noise and the image you are scanning is stretched almost the length of the paper. I tried scanning it several times hoping it would iron itself out or warm up or whatever it needed to do. I just had several copies of stretch out images. I ended up going to the library and PAY for copies. I needed copies of my drivers license for the State of Michigan for my tax return because of identity theft issues. I continue to have issues despite the back and forth communication with the company. Now I have to lug this hunk of junk to Best Buy. Anyone who has bought this printer knows it is very heavy. Luckily I bought the warranty but at this point I don't want the printer at all. Brother's customer service was really good but I am still having issues. I have used it to print some things but it is basically barely used. I spent more hoping it would reduce the problems the eventually happen with the cheap printers. This is by far the worst printer I have ever bought.

Scanning if flawless. Continuous feed. No pausing between papers. Only problem is that when you try to set up a shortcut, when changing the options it does not save the options with the shortcut.

over all pretty good, if the speed of printing would be faster it would be perfect. the price is little expensive at beginning, really efficient, i use this printer as of a home printing device.

My fiancee recently went back to school and started printing A LOT. I knew the cost of replacing ink for my ink jet would be too costly so I explored the Brother laser printer. The toner last so much longer and for the price, this is a far better printer than a cheap ink jet.

I love this printer. I had a printer I had to buy ink for constantly, and it gets pricey and adds up. Once I invested into this toner printer, I have no been disappointed yet. Even when it’s been months since my last print, it still works without any hassle.

Five years ago when we bought a Brother wireless printer, it took me 4 hours to set up. This model took longer to take out of the box than it took to set up and get it running. In 24 hours I have printed almost 250 pages and am extremely happy with the quality!

I had HP printer for long tiling, and replaced by newer version, I spent more than 15 Hours with all HP help program that actually ended by requesting to buy on line program!! , so I decided to complete change even trying laser printer for first time.

Was tired of replacing the costly HP ink cartridges on my home inkjet and this came with great reviews from a ton of different sites. If you don't need auto duplex printing, this is perfect. Extremely happy with the purchase.

I like this printer I just wish it did double sided prints.
