    Bestbuy is great! I have no complaints with them. My order arrived right on time and it was a reasonably price. The Brother Printer MFC-J1010DW has been terrible using. I have had issues with ink since the day i got it. Ive tried everything and its junk or the one i have is and i dont want my moneyback i just want to prinr

    When I got this printer and hooked it up, i couldnt do much without signing into their app. I got the app, and upon filling out the information, only Canada was listed. No U.S. On top of that, there are terms and conditions you need to agree to in order to use the app and do any updates on the printer. Within those terms, there’s an agreement that states you need to sign up for ink subscription, and they offer different plans. None of those plans seemed lucrative to me. There is also no option to opt out. I returned the printer the next day and got something else. Got that hooked within 5 min, with app and all. I would not recommend this printer here in USA.

    Printer works nicely EXCEPT every store, wholesaler, even brother has the black ink on back order. So for so far 2 weeks I cannot use the printer . I bought it less than 90 days so I cannot return it. Imagine I have to buy another printer because brother cannot supply the cartridges !!!

    Remember, you get what you pay for! You can't print off the glass, you can't make copies. The only thing this piece of junk is good for, is printing from your computer. I wish I had never bought this thing!

    No available ink cartridges! We have tried for over 2 months to get ink for this printer. We contacted Brother, who assured us that the ink cartridges would be available in 2-4 weeks. That was over 2 months ago. Yet they continue their robotic response of "Due to strong demand, we are experiencing stock fluctuation for some products." If the company cannot provide ink, why buy the printer? We will think long and hard about buying another Brother product.

    Good Luck Finding Black Printer Ink Refills

    I am very disappointed with Brother's lack of foresight with regard to black ink cartridge availability for the MFC-J1010DW printer. I have attempted to locate replacement cartridges at numerous outlets, including Brother, Inc., with absolutely no joy.

    The ink is high and I’ve been since dec looking for ink! Can’t sign up for brother refill as I’m out of ink. All my printers have been brother. I purchased one during Covid and that one got a paper jam and after carefully I jamming the printing was off. I spent hours trying to get inlined, got ink all over me. Finally pitched a 2 year old printer. Purchased this jw1010. Bla. The starter ink lasted no time. It ran out when I was sick a whole month and not only is the ink pushing a 100 if u can find it now ditching a 3 month old printer and done with brother! Just purchased an epson. Ridiculous sell a printer u can’t find ink for! Been having to pay ups to print stuff for me.

    Do not buy it. Even if you dont print in color you will need to replace the color inks all the time. It will not allow you to print in black if you dont replace the color inks (even if you do not need the color). It is just a legal way to steal your money.

      Your Brother MFCJ1010DW is designed to stop ALL printing operations when any of the ink cartridges have reached their end-of-life. This is to ensure the life of the printhead and to maintain premium print quality. Some ink from all the ink cartridges is used in periodic cleaning cycles. This helps to prevent issues such as printhead clogs and poor print quality. There is no way to bypass this feature.

      If one or more color ink cartridges are low but not at the end of their usable life and you want to minimize the use of color ink, change the settings in the Brother software to print with black ink only (grayscale). If you print with black ink only, the other ink cartridges must have ink for the printer to print. When an ink cartridge is depleted, you must replace it before you can print.

      If you print with black ink only, the printer may still use small amounts of ink from all the ink cartridges for occasional servicing tasks. Brother recommends that you replace any low ink cartridges to avoid any interruptions in printing.

    Worst printer I've ever had. Won't stay connected to wifi! Can not get it to reconnect. Even Brother customer support can not get it to reconnect. Long wait times for support. And then they don't know how to fix it. They tried transferring me to another department and I was disconnected before I got to talk to anyone. So, still no printer! Piece of crap!!!

    The set-up was somewhat expected, not bad. But, seriously printing on this machine is not easy, confusing page sizes and every time I open the paper tray it feels like a very cheap printer. I am returning mine today.

    We bought this printer 40 days ago, and it has now been reinstalled 3 times, and ink is impossible to find(only Brother available), and not the final straw. The black ink will not print regardless of how many times I attempt to clean the head. Do not buy this product, EVER.
