BROTHER printers are the best. This cheap printer ia obviously for light duty and casual needs. Software is heavy and notifies you constantly with ads, this can be turned off. After turning ads off, you'll get an extremely reliable printer. It. P Works. Every. Time. No hiccups, no errors, no cancelled printer jobs stuck in queue. I've had it in my bedroom for 6 months and it has only done noisy maintenance in the middle of the night once. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.

Great all-in-one printer/scanner, copier for the price. Clear instructions for set up. Easy to use and easy to replace ink cartridges. Can't ask for more!

Easy to set up for wireless connection. Good price. Replacing a previous Brother printer that I’ve had for several years and provided excellent print quality.

Wasn't sure about brother printers. Asked Geek Squad their thoughts, and got no issues. Set up was very straight forward following directions in the box. Everything went well. Printer is a little noisier than my Canon, but is 4 times faster, at least! Print quality is spot on.. Super sharp. I like that it has a paper tray under the printer, where cheaper models had no tray. The duplex printing was spot on! The Scanner is awesome! Makes clean scans and saves them like I like. You can get XL cartridges for not much more on various sites, might save some money. Brother support is very good to have if you need it! All in all, I am not sorry I bought this printer!

Updated Brother Printer. It’s a very basic printer but works great. Fast printing, copying and scanning. Love Brother printers.

Very compact compared to other's in its price (i.e. Epson, Canon, HP, etc) and while it's all plastic everything is designed for a tight tolerance. One big warning - if you plan to hook it up to a desktop or laptop via USB the connection is INSIDE the printer and you need a thin printer cable (not included) to close the printer after you put the cable inside a little cable guide which then sticks out the side. It's good that it has 4 individual cartridges (although it doesn't look like they hold a lot of ink) so you can replace them one at a time (Black, Magenta, Cyan, Yellow). They also bug you about their "Subscription Ink" service - they usually are not in your favor no matter how much their marketing says it is. Buy the Cartridges when you need them (you can have spares on hand when they run out) and you get good deals on Black XL and packaged with a set of color cartridges. Also, downloading all the software and installing it on a PC took around 20-30 minutes.

Compact. Good print and color quality for this price range. Was suggested by the Best Buy associate. Very pleased so far.

This printer is fairly easy to set up and has remained connected with my computer, phone and tablet. So far it's working much better than the one I replaced, so I'm happy to have purchased this Brother printer.

Very easy setup. Great little printer. I like that it can connect by Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

It is nice functional compact printer. Installation was easy with the PC, but with the Mac, all the functions don't appear to work with the MacBook Air ( the iPrint and Scan function don't appear to work with the MacBook Air). I can print from the MacBook Air. If I only had a MacBook and not a PC I would not recommend this printer, based on my experience.

For the price , I am quite impressed. This printer is exactly what I needed in my office for daily usage. Prints very good. No issues at all.

Setup was extremely easy. Just follow the prompts on the screen. WiFi works well. Haven’t had a problem connecting.

Pro: way better than my HP; doesn’t get trapped in proprietary dead ends like HP does; Lots of features; great value; Set up on first laptop was easy and seamless; great size; high quality document printouts; desktop icon very user friendly; nice paper capacity; doc feeder works very good at this price point Con: when in standby mode, no indicator LED to know to shut down for extended away; display is a bit small, clumsy and way too crowded; seems like non needed button presses required to accomplish some things; set up on second laptop went sideways and needed Gk Sq help to unravel; online instructions for some 2 sided features needs to be clearer;

Connecting was a little bit fussy, and the Brother tech service I called for help (not Best Buy) asked if my computer was a work computer in an accusatory tone, and when I said no, he said “why is your firewall on then. Turn it off because that was blocking it” and then hung up immediately. I was able to diagnose the problem myself and troubleshoot it, and after that, the printer itself has worked perfectly. It’s quick, connections stable, and even works well on my phone. Note that the auto document feeder does NOT scan both sides of fed papers.

Works well for an inexpensive printer. Easy to setup. Once setup haven't had problem printing from computer or phone.

This is a true workhorse! Brother all the way. Easy to use and setup. Compact.
