I bought this printer 10 months ago. I started getting error messages saying my yellow ink was low when I almost exclusively print B&W. I have used nearly no yellow ink. Customer service told me the printer uses ink during maintenance, even when it is idle. The error message pops up every few seconds and obstructs my view of the screen. Customer service told me there was no way to stop the pop-up error message without replacing the low ink cartridge. Also, there is no way to test that the ink level reader. No way to tell if replacing the ink cartridge would truly correct the problem. But, I was told I could still print B&W. When I followed the chat agent's directions, it would not print in B&W. I want to send a written complaint to someone who would read it; the chat agent told me the only way to write a complaint was to write on the survey that popped up after out chat. Before the chat ended, and while I was still writing, the chat agent ended the chat. The fact that the printer does not print unless all ink cartridges are inserted and have useable ink, it uses ink even when idle, it does not even print in B&W when a color ink cartridge is low, the information I was given was wrong, the problems explained above were not in the product information, there is no way to register a complaint other than the online survey after the chat and the chat agent ended the chat before I was finished prompted me to write this review and give the printer 2 stars. The only redeeming qualities are that if you have all of the cartridge holders holding Brother ink cartridges and the ink cartridges are read as having adequate ink, you can print. If all of those conditions are not met, it will not print.

Works well and fast. Replaced my old Brother printer that was well over ten years old and worn out. I hope this lasts as long.

This printer is a good and fair printer. It works well and does what it is supposed to do... I would recommend it to anyone...

This is an excellent printer from Brother. The print quality is amazing and pretty fast. Also set up with WiFi was a breeze. I can print from my phone, tablet and my PC was and when I need to. This printer isn't loud and does print jobs quietly and efficiently. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely excellent printer! Wi-fi setup the usual nightmare...until I downloaded the Brother's app, then it was a flawless connection and performance. A bit noisy and thin plastic parts, but it is fast, clean and capable of perfect print and excellent color photos. I expect it to give me long and carefree service, though at this price point and incredible complexity, an extended warranty might be advisable.

It works great! I needed a new printer which had Windows 11 drivers and this inkjet printer fit the bill.

Good printer but with a major catch. I like the design and functionality of this printer. Very quick and easy to use. The prints looks great. However, the ink cartridge situation is disappointing and frustrating. If the printer determines that any of your cartridges are low on toner, the whole printer is disabled. It will not even let you print monochrome if the yellow toner is "low." Additionally, the printer seems to determine ink level by number of print cycles rather than actual ink left in the cartridge, so you can have a half full cartridge that gets irreversibly deemed "empty" by the printer; all printing is thenceforth disabled until the expensive cartridge is replaced. It's a terrible waste of ink and money. Just 2 sets of color toner cost as much as the printer itself, so the waste adds up quickly.

Love this printer. It does everything I need it to do. Also like the monthly Refresh ink replacement.

This printer is economical and puts out quality product. It’s been a great fit for my home office. Size and color are a bonus!

This printer/scanner combo definitely takes care of our business. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I can only scan ten pages at a time and then have to add pages ten at a time. Other than that, it's fast and relatively quiet. The user interface seems a little complex at first but if you follow the instructions in the manual, it is easy and becomes intuitive but it takes some time at first to figure out how to copy multiple insurance cards front and back.

This was easy to set up and quick to get started. It does everything I need it to do and is not complicated and nothing to download.

Love it!! So easy to set up and has worked flawlessly for iPhone AirPrint. Was able to set it up within 10 minutes on all devices in the house.
