No other AIO printer comparable at this price.

First of all, when setting up the printer make sure your devices are on 2.4ghz WiFi, this printer doesn't support 5.0ghz. I like that this printer has a very compact and efficient design, with no crazy trays popping out all over the place during use except for the retractable paper output tray. This affordable printer literally has all the features of a high end AIO printer except for one, having only a simplex ADF, it does automatically duplex print though. Monochrome output is very fast and good, color output is also good. Photos are just okay with very long print times, but at least it's possible with this printer. Scanning is fast with good detail. After installing the Brother printer app, I've scanned and printed wirelessly from a Windows desktop and laptop, a Chromebook and an Android smart phone with no issues at all. It's incredibly convenient. This is an amazing budget printer for low volume use that will literally do everything you need it to and do it well.

I am very impressed (so far) w/ this Brother - MFC-J1010DW Wireless Color All-in-One Inkjet printer. My youngest son will be off to college in the fall and I thought this will make him a nice printer/copier/fax you name he has it. The printer comes in a very sturdy box, THANK GOODNESS, the shipper was not to careful w/ the package during transit, as the box has several “rips/tears/holes” on three of the four sides. When I opened it up I was expecting the worse, but Brother does an amazing job w/ packaging this product (I am a stickler for good packaging) the printer was damage free. The color of the printer will go w/ my sons door, and the footprint is surprisingly very good. It is not much room in his dorm and space is precious, but this Brother printer fits the bill, and to think it does everything. We unboxed it, plugged it in, he downloaded the App and w/in minutes he was connected to the printer w/ his phone, tablet, and laptop. He printed a couple of B/W pages (copy of his required health form) and it is also surprisingly fast. I printed a photo of my grandson on regular printing paper and was surprised w/ the clarity of the colors. This Brother printer is well built and I think it was last his entire four years. I would HIGHLY recommend this printer.

So far so good with this printer. It was pretty easy to set up and connect with both my computer and phone. Just know that you'll need to find the password printed on the back of the computer for one step, but the instructions were not clear on what password they were looking for. Other than that, it prints well and it prints fast! I'm happy with this.

This is a good, well-priced printer that will not win any special awards but will do all the required tasks efficiently. I see this as a good addition to a home office and with 17 ppm (b&w) it is fast enough to accomplish most of the desired work nicely. The app is helpful for the set up and it will also send notifications for ink levels when the supply is running low. The setup overall is easy and quick and you will not need a separate driver. It is easily visible in my home network and I can connect with it using all my devices quite easily. So, if connection is a worry then should not give you any headaches. The quality of the prints is good though this will not win any special accolade for photo prints. The scanner function worked seamlessly as well. My only worry is that in my testing the ink level was dropping a bit too fast for my liking and the ink cost needs to be looked into. Other big pluses include the smallish footprint, which might be essential for the home office and it feels distinctly light and manageable with its weight. It also has the fax function that is an added plus though I have not used that feature. Very much recommended at this price point.

Did not print. Maybe it was an issue with the starter ink set, but I shouldn't have to deal with that. Returned it and bought a Cannon

really like this all-in-one printer. Previously had a Brother printer for years and serviced me well. Am curious though when I bought it, the salesman said it came with a year worth of ink but only had one complete set of ink with it. Recommend this unit highly for the price.

I am enjoying this printer. The quality is impeccable. I wanted to have the option of wireless and cable printing and it has both. My color prints have been very brilliant in color. This has been a great purchase for me.

This has been a very good value so far. I've had it for a month and had zero problems. Software installation was easy as was wireless configuration. I'm impressed by how quickly a print job reaches the printer over WiFi, be it from my computer or from a phone or IPad. Print quality is fine in color or black and white. I haven't printed a photo yet or used anything other than plain paper, so I can't speak to that. We've named it R2D2 because it does click and beep quite a bit when receiving and printing a job. Not annoying, just amusing. I'd give it 5 stars if I knew how long ink was going to last but I haven't had it that long yet. Otherwise, meets all my needs and the price was right.

Got this to replace a 5 year old HP AIO. This printer prints so much faster than the HP did. I like the way the ink goes in and the software seems to be better than HP's. All in all, I'm very happy this this.

Very nice unit, rated high and recommended by CU/Consumer Reports for light duty home use/all around needs with better ink economy. Unless you want to try the subscription ink program, avoid the "setup.brother.com" trap and go directly to the "support.brother.com" page...it will provide you all the downloads and drivers without having to give your credit card number to continue forward. Have your model number ready. If you have good Wi-Fi you may not have any glitch with the connection. Otherwise get your router address ready to type on the PC prompt, then locate your home WI-FI name on the printer screen, type your password, and it should connect very fast, and it'll say so. Remember to be ONLINE through the process.
