I like the product, but even brother help desk could not connect it wirelessly, had to return it because of this.

I bought this printer because it was on sale. It has many features and all-in-one functionality but it is very slow. I returned it after 3 days.

OMG, it literally takes like 10 minutes to print a note page or some thing similar, not even in color. I tried messing with the settings. I wanted to blow this up. Can someone give me some pointers on how to speed it up. TIA

Horrible. Takes me forever to print one page. Pages constantly get stuck. Always getting error messages. Worst printer ever

This printer is awful! I purchased so many ink packages and it kept eating the ink! I don’t have this product that long and now I have to purchase another one!!! I’m very angry about this!!! I would never recommend this product to anyone!!! I wasted so much money!!!

I maybe can get two small print jobs done. If I try to print a couple of days later it is offline and must turn off power and start again.

I've had this printer for a while and all it does is jam up EVER TIME I PRINT. BROTHERS OUGHT to be ashamed of themselves for making this junk!!! The paper will jam 10 times before I can get 1 paper to print without a problem. Then I have to unplug it 5 out of the 10 times it jams because after I remove the jammed paper it still says the paper is jammed!!!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY NOT EVEN $1.00

This is the worst printer I have ever used. Don't buy it 1. I need to reconnect it with my wifi every time. 2.I just used it for printing articles several times and it is out of ink I try to get help from customer service but they told me if I don't join GEEK SQUAD, they won't help me. so this is totally a trash

It is a good inexpensive printer. The ink they supplied lasted less than 20 copies. Customer service poor.

Please Spend a little more and get a better one and if you buy one get extended Warranty

This printer is really not up to the stand that I am used to from Brother. Very dissatisfied.

Great printer coming from having so many HP Printers. I can't recall when I had a non-HP printer. Got tired of the build quality and cost of ink. Debated between the Brother and Canon because I was looking for an AIO without a power brick (yes, can't figure out why HP always have to have an extra power brick - pet peeve, inc desk clutter). Setup: Macbook Pro 13 Retina Cheap TP-Link wifi router Brother MFC-J485DW Pros: - Easy to set up and prints on both sides. - Didn't install any software at all. - Setup wifi using the front LCD panel and found my SSID and enter the password (harkens back to the old days of when you had to text using just the numeric keypad on a candy bar phone) - OS X recognized it through wifi and just added the printer in the printer settings menu. - Scans using native OS X Image capture software. - This is debatable. Was used to only one cartridge for color but with three different color cartridge I think in the long run it may be more cost effective since you are only replacing the primary color instead of having to change out the entire cartridge. - I think the print head is on the printer itself rather than on the cartridge which may explain why the ink is cheaper. - Very sleek, and I like the paper tray that is similar to a laser printer, the document feeder folds out of the way flush when not using. Cons: - NO FAST or DRAFT mode to save ink. I tried installing the software using Windows 7 running on a virtual machine but can't change quality setting.

Uses ink up much faster than I was told it would & still haven't figured out why it won't scan anything for me

The color on this product is terrible. Do not buy, save your money.

Prints extremely slow and keeps saying roaming when you try to print from wireless device.

It takes about a minute to print each page. Colors are not sharp. It will be my backup printer...

This is a very slow printer. It took my daughter almost and hour to print out a 10 page power point

I have owned 3 Brother printers over the past 8 years. This one lasted only a few months and was painfully slow. I have been a loyal customer of Brother printers for years. The quality of this printer had caused me to decide that I'm no longer buying Brother products.
