We purchased this specifically because it indicates "Ethernet". This machine does NOT have Ethernet; It has WIFI & USB. 1 star for incorrect specs (Best Buy's fault).

Have had printer several months with little use maybe 15 pages of print and several faxes. Today the printing stopped working and it is caught is a loop of faxes. Not happy--spent hour trying to make it work with no success. Seems to try to clean cartridges frequently (which I understand uses ink). An unusual amount of ink has been used with very little printing. Not Happy!

This printer goes through ink fast. I am at the store every other week buying ink. Black ink one week, CMY the next week. Any kind of savings you might think you are getting with the printer will go away with the constant ink purchases.

This printer worked fine for about a month and has been nothing but trouble since. It is incredibly slow, it jams almost every time I print, the ink goes quickly and now it won't even feed the paper. I have only had the printer about 9 months. I made a mistake with this purchase.

I've owned a previous model brother printer and had no issues for years, but for some reason I was only able to get two good prints out of this printer. Just printing regular paper documents and on the third sheet, paper jam. I removed the sheet closed it up then it said it was still jammed. Opened the printer up made sure there was no paper left in the printer, closed it up and still said there was a jam. Reset the printer and it finally let me print a test sheet. Thought I was good, so I resumed to printing my documents. Very first sheet, the paper jammed. I will be taking this back to the store first thing in the morning. Very disappointed with this printer.

Don't bother with this Brother, It is an ink guzzler, and if you do little printing the ink just dries up quickly. You can't print in just black without having all three other cartridges full! You can't scan without having all the cartridges full ! You can't get it back online without having all the cartridges full. With All this running back and forth buying ink, I can just stop at Office Depot and print my stuff there and save a ton of money. Just threw mine out. Save yourself the trouble and look at Canon or HP.

I've had this printer about a year. At first it worked well - I use the scanning function as well as the print function. But after a while it slowed down a LOT to where it takes over a minute to print a page, which is RIDICULOUS. And now I'm often getting a "door open" error when the door is not open; this goes away sometimes if I play around with the paper feed. I am willing to put up with slow printing, but I need to to print eventually. I don't need a printer very often, but when I need one, I need one that WORKS. Going back to HP.

When I try to print photos I get lines through my image whether I use photo paper or regular paper

this is how this works. You set it up, install the printer driver, etc. hit print and it says you are not connected to wifi even though the printer says wifi is connected. Brother instruction say uninstall printer driver and reinstall. You do that and it prints what it just said it couldn't. that is the only way it will print.

I am so disappointed with this printer I hope to save someone else from the agony. The price is great but nothing else. I work part time from home and don't need a great device but this one is so difficult to get anything out of I might as well not have it. Every use it has to be configured again. This could be my wifi or something but when it does start printing it's unbelievably slow! The salesman recommended this printer but I think he just wasn't familiar enough with it. Buy the HP. Wish I had

First using this printer it worked perfectly. Now I am running into various problems. Wifi capabilities are useless. The printer also does not register ink with all cartridges being full. We have trouble shot the problem last resort is to leave printer unplugged for 20 minutes! A huge inconvenience!

I finally snapped after physically smashed this printer after a year of dealing with its terrible system. Not worth the money. I'm so upset I wasted so much money on ink for this machine. Do not buy, spend the extra $50 for a nice printer cause this thing is a time waster and it will drain you of your precious time. Terrible worthless piece of plastic.

It will not print more than 2 pages without getting a paper-jam, no matter how many ways you try to put the paper in the paper tray. It prints so slowly the pages it actually prints. I am very unsatisfied, do not buy or waste your time on this printer!

Replaced original yellow cartridge with new, and it won't detect new. Tried installing several times, no luck. It won't let me print even in black AND it won't even let me turn it off! It won't even detect the original cartridges, which are still good. My first and LAST Brother printer. No more Brother machines for me!

I've owned many printers over the years and this is by far the worst and junkiest. You get what you pay for. It is slow and flimsy. But the worst feature is that if one of the color cartridges is empty, it will not let you print or copy anything, even b/w printing with a full b/w cartridge.

This printer is absolutely horrid. It constantly jams or errors no paper when in fact there is paper. Or it errors, stating to clean the pick up roller. Horrible product!!!

This is by far the slowest printer ever made. It most definitely does NOT print as fast as advertised. I'm printing 6 black sheets and it is taking almost 30 minutes. Choose a different printer.

I picked up this printer yesterday and before even finished the set up color ink shows low. I did not even print one page, this is worst printer I ever bought.
