I bought this as a gift, because I have a brother printer and it has performed well for 9 years now. This printer is inexpensive, and the print is good. Cartridges are reasonably priced for this model.

This printer is good,can get cheap ink catridges too.

Great printer for the money for basic tasks. Adding paper is a little inconvenient as you have to take the entire tray out. A little noisy when paper is loading to print. But color quality is great and very user friendly

Does everything that you need. Great for home use and high school teenagers projects.

I looked around Best Buy for awhile comparing prices and features. I wasn't looking for a printer with a bunch of extra junk I wasn't going to use. This was simple and to the point, I also like having the phone app so I can print from my Galaxy S5. So overall I am very pleased.

After going through four printers in 3 years, I had to question the sales pitches given by the two leading brands of printers. My dealings with the customer service department of one of these brands finally caused me to stay from the mainstream and look at the lesser known brands. I opted to go with Brother after reading about their ink savings technology and after my /best Buy consultant invited me to try this entry model . Results? I should have switched years ago. The ink savings alone is worth hundreds of dollars even after a few months. The quality of print is every bit as good as my last printer and ten times better than I ever had with my original brand. Just check out their website and you will see how customer service is a priority. My next printer will indeed be a brother. I've already picked out the one with all the bells and whistles I need. Let Brother win you over too. You won't regret it!
