So first off. It doesnt come with any cables to connect it to the computer. I was a bit confused as i should of firat look at the instructions. Its very easy to install and quality and speed os pretty decent being a wireless printer. Overall great printer. Comes with nice software and a very good app for android and ios

took a bit to get working but it does work great and is not loud at all

The printer was easy to set up but when I ran the color print test, I didn't get yellow. I ran it multiple times as it directs but while ultimately I got a very, very faint yellow, it ran out of ink after 4 tests. I called Best Buy who suggested that I return the printer to the store. After a brief discussion, he offered to send me a gift card so that I could buy ink. I found that acceptable and agreed. But, I never received the gift card. I called after several weeks and am now waiting for the again promised card. Everyone was very pleasant to deal with, we'll see. The printer was simple to use the couple of times I ran it and inexpensive but you'll have to buy ink immediately.

I use this as soon as I could get it in the house ,every day I come home it's cool

I bought this brother printer because I needed one that makes copies. I already had another brother printer so I new it would be good. Its better then I thought. I love that not only can I make copies, I can also fax and send copies to my email. It was easy to set up and connect with all my devices.

Easy to set up and it doesn't take a lot of space.

Easy to set up, easy to use. I've gone through several epson's and hp printers thought I would give this brother printer a try. Cheaper than buying ink for the old epson which I couldn't get to work. Seems to do what I need it to do.

This appears to be a solid little printer. It was very slow, however, especially without the full drivers installed. It's doubly slow on ink-saver mode, slower than it should be compared to a 5 year old Brother I have. Be sure if you are using this printer with a computer for which the cd wasn't used to install drivers that you go online to install the full drivers, otherwise your printing options are much more limited. I'm rating this printer based on it's price category, which is about 20% higher in cost than what it was when I purchased it a month ago. I'm docking it a star because it is a printer for which Brother has begun using smart chips on the toner, meant to prevent (more appropriately interpreted "deter") customers from using generic toners. The EU created legislation about this, as it contributes to massive e-waste. As well, toner is incredibly and ridiculously expensive. A customer should be able to use whatever ink they desire just as we should be able to buy gas from whatever gas station we desire. Fortunately, this particular printer's chips are replaceable with generics out there that also have chips, but from what I found, you must first insert the Brother toner to get a read, and then use the generics, otherwise it doesn't seem to read the first time around (it needs a jump start, essentially, from my experience). Anyway, this is where printer companies make their money--not from the printer, but from the insanely priced toners. If you can get around the toner-chip issue, this printer will be paid for in savings through a 20.00 purchase of generic toners, if you get a decent brand. Maybe they're just as good as Brother, maybe they're not. But if you print a lot at home, they make great economic sense.

Purchased the printer to use as a multi task station. It has exceeded my expectations. I am very pleased.

It works very well compared to my old HP printer. Ink is reasonable and am extremely happy with purchase.

I've had a couple of hp printers and one Lexmark printer just in the last 2 years. So far the brothers is holding out great! Although a bit slow, it still gets the job done. It is as easy to hook up right out of the box. Our phones connect too.

I do not use a printer a whole lot. My main consideration in buying a printer is cost of the printer and cost of ink.

This printer can scan documents into doc, excel, search pdf, PowerPoint files.

I like this printer a lot and so far it has done everything that my HP 8500 printer did and more. It takes up a lot less space and It is small enough that I plan to take it with me this winter to use. The ink cartridges are also cheaper. I have always had HP printers and I am finally done with them.

After having owned HP, Canon, and Kodak printers, seven years ago we bought a Brother multi-function printer. It turned out to be a great machine, a workhorse like HP and good print quality. we just replaced it with the MFC-J485DW and so far it's as good or better than our old Brother MFC.

Picked this printer up for $20 (which is cheaper than replacing the ink) and nothing to complain about!

So far so good..... I love this printer.... easy to use also has a app so I can print from my phone....

If you are looking to work from home and print a vast amount of text, be sure to pre purchase a couple of cartridges of blk ink. I have yet to print out full color prints, but this machine is capable of doing so. The current documents are sharp.

There was a lot of confusion with delivery. I had to phone 3 times and physically go to a store twice. The printer itself is working well. I got it at a very low price, Deal of the Day, so no complaints. Connected wire less no problem.

The printer has all the features like wireless printing, scan to email etc but it takes more than a minute to print a page. I would recommend it if you are an occassional printer. If you print quite often and multiple pages, find a faster one.
