Was looking for something small yet could do it all. Everything has worked fine so far however have not tried fax. The design is compact not bulky looking and easy to operate. Great printer for the money.

This was to replace my brothers MFC 430 that quit printing in Black after 2-3 years of good operation. This MFC 485 is very similar with a few more bells and whistles and I hope it will keep going as long.

this is the best printer i ever bought. no paperjam unlike thise cheap HP printers.

I bought this printer on sale for $59.99. I have owned many HP all-in-one printers which were all very quirky. Sometimes they worked,sometimes they didn't.This little printer gets every job done correctly. It prints when I need it.And the ink is much cheaper.

Hello, I hope my review is helpful. The brother printer I purchased has been a wonderful value for my money. The printer is easy to use, set up to my laptop. I've printed from my iPhone and works perfectly.

Pretty good printer, easy to set up and use. I think it's weird that there are so many ink cartridges, and the screen is pretty small. But, can't really say anything too bad considering the price.

Compact unit, multi purpose, wi-fi a big plus, able to print from all my devices

No complaints at all. The only problem I had was getting my computer to recognize it and actually print something. I called Brothers customer service and together we had it up and running fine.

Setting up the printer was fairly simple. I bought this to air print forms I needed for school. Connecting to WiFi was simple and had a good signal. This is where if you are in a rush this printer isn't for you. It is so slow. Takes 2 to 3 minutes per page if it receives all of the data. If it doesn't it prints half the page, stops and tries to start over. So you end up wasting paper and more time. I haven't returned it because I threw the box away. It's 50 bucks in the trash in my opinion.

This MFC is well featured with a doc feeder and duplex printing for $80. Of course at that price point it is slow and expensive to run. However the money saved in the purchase price buys a lot of ink! I bought this for my RV for essential business printing whilst on the road. I have a 200 watt inverter that won't run a laser but has no trouble with an inkjet. This printer does all that I need for printing contracts and scanning once signed. I print directly using AirPrint without any issues. It also has the smallest form factor for an MFC we could find and everything collapses to create a "box" that can be stowed. Brilliant considering the price point. Slow, but is fully functional and will get the job done.

The printer was easy to install as a wireless printing unit. Image quality was good. We also scanned a color photo and the speed of scanning at the highest resolution possible was good and the image clarity was also very good. The price on sale made it worth buying.

Wi-fi is easy to set up. Printer has a paper tray that holds 100 sheets internally. It also has auto paper feeder for copying and scanning documents. Print quality is nice and have printed many copies with the same cartridges that came with the printer. Highly recommend.

This printer has been a great purchase. The set up to connect all devices to it through its WiFi and WLAN capabilities was truly simple. Brother has this part figured out. I have everything from laptops, desktop, iPad, iPhone, and Android Phone printing as needed.

The printer works well especially for the price. It did take a little while to set up to print wirelessly and it is really slow printing as others mentioned. Still for the price it isn’t bad.
