Excellent design. Plastic parts don't have the best tolerances I've ever experienced. At this price point, however, it is a fine purchase. I would have given it five stars except that Brother's implementation of the driver installation for Linux machines is deplorable. It'll be great for all you Windows people and OSX users.

It was very easy to setup. It did not require loading software or drivers. Easy AirPrint use.

Purchased this printer after my old Epson started running through ink at a rapid rate. Have printed out a couple hundred sheets and so far, no issues at all. Still have about half the life of the original ink cartridges left, haven't had any jamming issues with printing front and back and the software is easy to use. If you are looking for an affordable, home printer, this one will work.

Easy set up, easy set up for fax printing and scanning

I have had many printers. This one is ok. Does print, scan, fax and copy. It is much smaller than my old printer which I like. It prints pretty quickly ONCE it starts up. It takes longer than I'd like for it to "wake up" when not used for a while. Also, it won't keep our wireless code in its memory. It will keep it only for about an hour. At that time I have to add the code again. I can come back 45 minutes later and it still remembers the code. If I wait 65 minutes it has forgotten it again. Very easy to add, just frustrating to have to do it over and over. I am satisfied with the quality of the prints and copies it makes. If you were going to use it wireless, I probably would not recommend it. If you were going to wire it to your computer, I would recommend it. Because most households have more than one computer or laptop sharing a printer, I have to go with not recommending it.

Great printer for the price and small to fit anywhere

I mainly use this item for scanning, but I also have used it for printing. The only detail is the tray for paper is too small, you need to constantly add paper. The scanner software is good but I had a lot of issues syncing the printer and computer(MAC). I end up getting a USB, that solved the problem.
