Good quality -A little noisy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Print quality is very good. Easy to set up however it seems to sleep often and sometimes loses wifi connection. I’m thinking the sleep mode disconnects from wi-fi but I am not 100% sure of the cause. I may need to adjust some other settings. I have adjusted the sleep mode duration to see if that help. The machine is noisier than I would like, but over all functions well.

Better that inkjet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy setup for copy and sync up with computer. Instructions were easy to follow. I have no need for fax, so this was not applicable. Quality of print is excellent. I do not know how much toner came with the factory cartridge and have yet to figure out how I can tell the current level of toner remaining with this printer. Several attempts on line have not helped.

||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even tho it's not a color printer I love it works great. I still haven't figured out how to print wireless through the network, but I'll get there at some point. no gripes enjoy the printer

Worked great until it didn’t
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This all in one unit set up easily and I loved everything about it until it stopped working suddenly after a year and a half exactly but not even through one toner cartridge’s worth of printing. The panel said starting up but then goes blank and shuts off. Tried all the fixes online to no avail. My last Samsung all in one lasted 8 years and only had to buy this one because they were bought up by HP who stopped allowing driver updates/downloads so my new computer can’t hook up to the printer. Guess I’ll just buy a cheap knockoff at this rate. Not worth the money.

Met all my expectations for home use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Prints from my iPhones, iPads and Windows 10 network computers. Copy and scan work well. I don’t need or use the fax though that would be convenient for a small office. Setting up scan to file using buttons or iPrint software requires careful reading of instructions.

Recommend the product, not the store.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product works well but real test is coming with the long haul. Sales assistance sucked. It took me over thirty minutes to get a sales assistant over to answer a couple comparison questions. And that was after asking the associate at the front of the store twice to get me some help in the printer area.

Powerful Printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a powerful printer! Solidly built and a workhorse for my home office. It has fax, scan and copy capabilities. It was easy to set up and it is everything I needed in a printer. It is a black and white printer, but I rarely need to print things in color, so it is perfect for my needs. Highly recommend it!

Nice printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty easy to set up and connect wirelessly. Print quality is very good. I haven't used it very much so far, and bought it because I'm now teleworking 100%, with no known plan for going back to my office, and printing at Staples is too costly. This is a very nice convenience to have at home and I'm pleased so far.

More than a printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No need for added photos when the image shown is identical to my purchase. I love this 4 in 1…it was so easy to set up that I did it myself! I am NOT tech savvy at all. I adore the wireless. Quality is great. No negatives!!

Excellent home printer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the printer almost a month and so far the performance has been excellent. Great value for the price. Scans have looked great and the prints are good quality. Caveat: I purchased this specifically for text documents, so I'm not looking for photo-quality, just really good copies.

Excellent MFP for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I begrudgingly purchased this because my son needed to print from an iPad. My old Canon laser works fine just not with air print. Yes, I did setup an air print server to get around this but it's an ugly solution. After Installing this I was happily surprised by how many features it has and it's ease of use. Brother has much better software support/updates than Canon does and this unit uses less power as well. It's just maddening that an otherwise fine old laser needs to be replaced because Apple decided to use a proprietary printing solution instead of an industry standard.

Manual duplex scanning not directly possible
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works quietly and fast. Possibly too fast with the Automatic sheet feeder as papers not always straight. Need to install the software on the PC from Brother to use the functionality. It is a shame that the software does not allow even manual copying of duplex documents (eg HP office jet 6960 series software allows you to load all one side, and then once scanned prompt to load the papers again by turning them around. The software then automatically inserts the "backs" of pages to follow each "front" Clever - Bother "the Manufacturer" should take notice!!!!. Now I need to take the scans and use another program to rearrange in correct order the duplex pages into a new file. The out put quality is good

Fast and quiet
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At the last minute my wife decided on the form feed rather than just single scanner and man am I glad she did this printer is fast quiet and awesome. It printed out my fantasy draft list in seconds (25 pages) and downloads in color. Definitely would purchase again!

So far, so good.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were looking to replace a Canon All-in-One printer, as it had died, and I was also tired of paying for costly colored ink, along with black ink, when we never printed anything in colors. I went with Consumer Reports' recommendation to go with a laser black and white machine, and opted for this Brother unit. We've only had it for about a month, but, so far, it's great. Prints SO much faster than the old Canon unit; I have scanned with it, as well, and it worked seamlessly. I can't speak to how long the ink cartridge will last, as yet, but, so far, I am very pleased with the purchase.

4 months in and LOVE IT
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very simple to set up to WiFi for air print! Get the app and look up on line tutorials. With three kids in school doing endless reports and my wife and I printing out shipping labels I don’t understand how I’m still on the free cartridge! Wish I switched to mono brother earlier

Would highly recommend
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was purchased to replace another Brother Printer that was purchased several years ago. This performed as has all the brother printers that the organization has purchased , six in all. With easy setup up, from laser to inkjet the outputs are clear and precise.

Great Upgrade From MFC-8890DW
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer was very easy to set up and get going, but you need to make sure you adjust the paper tray to letter and not A4. Aside from that, everything functions wonderfully. The print speed is much faster than I had expected it to be, coming from an old 8890DW.

Fast and quiet for large printing jobs!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Changed from an inkjet printer to this printer. It works really well for printing out school work even when there are hundreds of pages. It is not loud and prints very fast. We were also impressed with the ease of adding it to our network and all our computers. Automatically shows up in new devices.
