Needs some adjustments & resetting / set up help. Its a new machine. Otherwise its good to have printer, fax, scanner working properly.

Have always bought Brother printers, good value and dependability

Although the product is excellent my overall rating is based upon the support as well. The support is non-existent. I must be missing something.

I needed a printer/scanner for a home office. Brother products have always performed well for me, and their laser printers save money on toner compared to inkjet cartridges.

Set it up and it worked with all of my pcs and macs off the bat. No problems with not being seen on the network, or pausing etc. Always there and ready! Having only 1 toner cartridge is thrifty as well.

Functions well for duplex printing. Haven't yet figured out the scan function. Would be nice to get a full printed manual w the product. Love the footprint of the machine

The HP with color was far too slow getting the printing job done. I, for the most part, used just black letters and pictures. Those pictures were ones that were with a download.

love our brother printer! Does exactly what it says and we use it alot. Not sure if it can print in color but i am working on getting some color ink cartridges to try it out.

It's got me hopping back and forth between it and the laptop. Copies okay, but is less than intuitive. I'm not all that computer literate, so that's probably it...I'm just stupid.

I got sick and tired of replacing my old printers color ink . What made me upset was I never printed in color.

This device works well once you have it set up and are capable of using it without guidance or a manual. For example; if you want to scan to a hard disk or a flash drive I have yet to find out how to do that. Most everything it's possible but it's by trial and error. The manufacturer did not consider designing it for the everyday user. If this was my only machine I would think twice about another.

I had the printer in the past and was happy with it, however, it is too big for the function that is has. I have seen similr products that are smaller.

The scanner and printer copies are perfect. I would recommend it.

Exterior plastic feels cheap and LCD display looks flimsy. Right side cover lift up but not left, can't copy a thicker journal. Scanning is a bit cumbersome compare to using a Fujitsu.

Pleased with purchase got tired of inkjet clogging up printing ports

I've tried other printers and they either have a problem of some sort or ink runs out quickly. Definitely worth the price for it.

I have been purchasing this same printer for all my mangers. Ink cost is a little higher but last a while. I have one for two years and works great.

Overall works well. You’ll have to go wake it up from time to time if it’s connected via WiFi and not Ethernet. Quality is standard, functions as intended. No frills but good value.

The setup of this printer was difficult. The online directions were not clear. The language assumed familiarity with technical words. The difficulty was with getting the Scan function to operate. It still is not clear how to scan a document. I tried the Geek squad for help, and I tried the Brother customer service for help. It still is not scanning easily, if at all. If you buy this be sure you understand technical language because that is how the online user guide is written.
