It was recessed and the printer only worked / printed for 6 minutes at a time then it went to sleep. Every time I needed to print something it required turning it "on" again as well as "pushing the "Start" button in order to wake it up, then resending my print request. I have returned the printer to Best Buy and received a credit and I have purchased a different model from Brothers that will hopefully arrive by September 18. It is simpler and does not fax, which I don't need anyway. Print, copy, scan is all I require. When it printed it provided excellent copies, After 3 weeks it preferred to emit blank pieces of paper. [CR recommends Brother and I'm no longer buying HP printers.]

I followed the instructions and download the software and I have not been able to print anything. I even went on YouTube and watched the video on how to troubleshoot this printer. This printer makes a good paperweight, other than that it's useless.
