Ok Printer Scanner

Would not recommend buying this. The only reason I bought another one is that I had over $140 in toner. This Printer scanner is way over priced. I paid $139 for the same one 15 months ago.

Beware!!!!

If you like wasting time then this is for you. The ink is ok if you buy non Brother ink. The drum has to be replaced after only 9 months use. $90.00 on top of the price of this is not worth it for me.

The World's Most User UNFRIENDLY Printer.

I had an old HP printer that had great functionality but it finally went. I decided to try something different. That was a big mistake. The controls on this printer are beyond human comprehension. There's a console control for 2-sided printing, I've yet to figure out how to use it successfully without actually turning the page over on the scan glass and hitting "print" again...and that's just a single, 2-sided page! Forget scanning..definitely a bridge too far! It'll print out a document, single-sided without a problem; otherwise be prepared for disappointment and frustration.

Unreliable

It has been a headache. Bottom line - it has been unreliable. It is connected via wi-fi. It goes offline all the time. I spent more than an hour with brother customer support trying to fix the problem. I even moved the printer within 2 feet of the router. I keep having the same problems. I either have to restart my computer or disconnect the power cord for it to work (go back online).

Can't get it set up...

Right at moment, this was a terrible purchase. Will have to pay someone to come and set it up...very disgusted!

No good

Instruction was No good. I only owned it for couple of day which I can't operate the machine. After talking to Brother customer services, I immediately return this printer and change a different model that have the function I want. Another thing when I call for help - this lady said she does not know I ask her to find some that can help me. Her answer was you don't like just return. I don't like her attitude.

Can't get it going

Unable to get the printer going. Spent about 1 hr. and 15 minutes with a Geek Squad person who worked remotely on my computer to try to get the printer going. He failed and said I needed to get a Geek Squad person to come to my home to try to get it going. That's going to cost me another $50 bucks (I have GS Total Tech Support on annual subscription). Obviously, I never would have bought this printer if I had known how much trouble it would be to get it going. However, now that I have it I'll wait for the Geek Squad person to come next week, and pay the $50 and go from there. Should have just bought another HP inkjet.

Terrible

Now when I print the toner wipes off the paper with a swipe of the finger. Also, half the time when I attempt to scan the scan-to-pc function doesn't work unless I power cycle the printer. Cheap junk. You get what you pay for.

No paper error!

Both of them have the same problem. There is a small plastic part in the back of the printers that break easily. They have YouTube videos on how to fix it. But it's a headache. The printer has a no paper error every few prints because the paper feeder doesn't raise to feed the paper through. That little plastic piece is the cause. They have videos to fix this problem to keep them out of the landfills but it's more of a hassle than it needs to be. don't bother yourself with this printer if you don't have to. There are so many others to choose from.
