Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since I don't print frequently, having an inkjet printer, even a solid Brother inkjet, was frustrating in that the ink kept drying up before too long. in the short time that I've had this laser printer, I finally feel I don't have to worry about lots of money going towards ink that I never use. So far, so good. The priniting is clear and good.

Good printer

Haven't been able to connect it with my WIFI yet and would have been nice if it would have come with instructions. It was very easy to set up, just knowing what the features are and how they work would have been helpful. I've always used HP printers, but have switched all of my printers at home and work to Brother printers because of their reliability.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this black text laser printer to replace an inkjet printer which had on-going problems with plugged ink ports. Setup of this Brother printer was easy following the quick start guide with provided CD installed in the computer. Only point of setup where I needed to pause briefly was the orientation of the drum/toner cartridge, but soon realized that the grab handle needed to fit my hand. I like that the printer prints both sides of the paper without me needing to flip the previously printed single sided sheets. I found that scanning is easy too. Loading papers to scan or copy in the feeder tray is an upgrade from my previous flatbed screen on my old printer/scanner. Since I only need black text printing, I don’t miss the expense of having to purchase color cartridges which I rarely would use. As I no longer have a phone "land" line, the Fax function is not something that I can use, but will need to pursue a software Fax method. I am happy I bought this printer and so far am satisfied with it's printer quality and value.
