Great printer/scanner. Fast and excellent printing quality.

Having a DVD with the software and drivers is useless. It still has to connect to the internet and down load it again. I had a hard time connecting it to a hotspot through my cell phone but I got it going. I was surprised that I did not have to put in the password but I had the cable connected to my laptop initially. First off this uses a lot of power. I had a battery backup device that I have my desktop, monitor and desk light plugged into and I plugged the printer into the same outlet. When it tried to print it would shut down my computer because it would take so much power it would kick out my power supply. I removed the power supply and it now works but it does dim the desk light when it prints. This printer does not do what I thought it would do as far as 2 sided printing and scanning. It will print on both sides of the paper but if you want to scan or copy two sides you have to put each side in separately and scan one side at a time. With my Inkjet printer I it would automatically feed in each two sided page and copy or scan both sides automatically. I could even put in up to 50 pages that are two sided and it will copy or scan them all without stopping. This printer will not do that. The price was right and it does print but not scan 2 sided. Had I known this I would of picked a different printer.

This works well when it works, but it goes in and out of wifi a lot -- all by itself. I have to remove and re-add to my printer list on a regular basis. I am connected to two other printers and never have that problem, but the point of having this one was to have it next to me instead of walking back and forth to inconvenient printers (that work). It prints and copies beautifully.

Prints fast, easy setup & able to connect to all my laptops wirelessly. Generic toner is cheap, but and does great duplex printing.

For a budget friendly printer its a good buy for a single family home.

This printer gets all my printing needs done for a lot being output per day. Very fast

Best printer for the price hands down. Got like 7 of them in the office.

Decent small office/small use printer. Easy to set up and install the drivers. Quiet, and it has a good design. We use it about a dozen time a day, mostly single page print. Original toner runs out quickly (probably by design). We use Lynko 3rd party toner from Amazon at an unusually low price so not worried about operation costs. I would recommend this unit for a small office.

My friend and I were looking to purchase a new printer at a decent price and came across Brothers in which he owned this brand before so it was our hope to stick with this brand. I did the setup which took no more than 30 minutes. He loves the fact that you can print from your phone since it's wireless and also have the capability to use it as a fax. Overall, great printer!

I owned a similar Brother laser jet printer for a business and when I needed to replace an in jet HP " pro" model that just broke, I thought of how reliable the Brother printer was and is still in use nearly 4 years later. So I purchased this model or easily scans and creates PDF's and for general purpose printing it works great. Of course it can do a lot more than what I'm using it for so I'd recommend it as an economical and reliable printer/ scanner/ Fax.
