You really do get what you pay for. Spend the extra $150 or more to get a higher quality HP printer/scanner. Print quality is average at best. It is as loud as a freight train. Very slow wi-fi printing considering it is only 10 ft away from the router.

Very difficult to set up even with a USB cable

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i had 2 choices, replace the print heads and cartridges for a tidy $200,00 on my hp ink jet, or buy a new laser for a few bucks more. well, i went with the lesser of the 2 evils. i bought this printer. ok so it does monochrome only but thats a small trade off for reliability. cartridges are inexpensive to replace and readily available. setup was a breeze over wifi and i did not need to expose my network either. reserved an i.p address and done. got into setup changed a few things to conserve energy as well. setup for linux was a no brainer as ubuntu 20.04 LTS found this without any extra drivers needed. installed some software on a windows machine which took a few minutes and off to printing it went. the thing i like best about this, if i have to replace the diffuser i can get one for a few bucks NEW. i looked at many models before this including HP, these brothers did the best in reliability and cost of toner. i also got this to print right from my android using the app brother recommended in their included brochure and how to guide.

Drum wore out and never was the same again. So bought this new version- very similar and working great. I-Print is now easy as a breeze - a definite improvement.
