This is our third such printer from Best Buy. Works great as a double-sided scanner and printer, and prints color well. Instructions are intuitive. Recommend both Best Buy services and Brother printers.

    Just an OK Printer

Not as good as I was expecting. It is noisy and feels clunky. But, it does produce nice clean copy and I guess that's what its all about. I tried using some heavier stock to make a greeting card, but the rollers are so tight that produced a curl in the card stock paper. Too bad because the cards come out really nice and crisp looking.

Brother will break your printer whenever they want

Printer was fine until Brother decided to break it. Yes, that is what they did. It worked a few minutes before their "update" and then it would not work afterwards. They said they could not help because it was out of warranty. This update was not requested and was forced upon us. They basically vandalized the printer and then would not repair it. They did this with a previous printer as well, but we were able to get it going again. Basically, they can break your printer at any moment. It is like working with the mob. Maybe we didn't buy enough ink for their liking.

    Broke within the warranty

The copied pages started wrinkling to the point of no return after only 8 months. I’m pretty sure the fuser went out. Trying to redeem the warranty is a nightmare and isn’t worth the trouble. An $800 printer should last longer than this.
