Don't buy, printers are bad

Replaced toner because that is what the machine said to do. Didn't fix problem. Contacted tech support and wasted 100+ pages and 2 hours with no help. All they said is that they will send me to one of their service centers where I will have to pay for all repairs. Brother will do nothing to fix or repair the machine. Total cost per page ~$0.60 after all of my expenses for purchase of the printer and new toner. The second machine was used to only print labels. Does a really poor job of this as the toner always bleeds onto the second half of the page, wasting half of the expensive labels. Cleaned, talked with customer support, tried multiple different labels, still same problem. Because of the way that brother has treated me, I will never buy another product from them.

Posted .Hello, stated page yields for genuine Brother cartridges are based on the ISO testing standards. The number of pages that can be printed with a cartridge is affected by several factors, including paper size, number of pages per print job, amount of print on each page, font size, and print content (graphics, charts, etc.). Print jobs with large text fonts, graphics, charts, and/or large amount of solid coverage (black or any given color) will use much more toner and will shorten the life of the toner cartridge. I love the printer and the color, but the toner cartridges cost too much. I have to limit my purchases when I know they are on sale. Perhaps, the price can be lowered a bit.

I bought black, cyan, magenta and yellow for my new Brother Color Laser printer (which I also bought at Best Buy for a great price on sale), and I saved almost $100 on toner compared to Staples! I'll be purchasing ALL of my toner cartridges from Best Buy from now on!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.they need to create high yield or larger supply color toners for these printers. both the color and black toner run out way too fast. I was constantly having to replace them at my startup business with only 2-3 people using the printer. And while best buy offers WAY better pricing on these things compared to office depot, they are still pricey when having to replace them so often. We switched back to an inkjet style printer bc of this. Depending on your use though, this could be a great option for you.
