This is the recommended Brother black cartridge for the MFC-L2740DW laser printer. Easy to remove the old one and easy to install the new one (move one lever back and forth on the new one) . Brother includes a free mailing service for the old cartridge to recycle it, and that was also easy to do.

I love brother products! I have purchased 2 of them and I have no complaints. We use them for work and they get pretty beat up but they are very durable and last quote some time. They are pricey but you get what you pay for.

We all know this cartridge...so what it really comes down to is being able to get it in a hurry. It's always been available and easy to get at Best Buy. No long lines...no waiting for shipping.

Never fails. When you delay and don't change cartridge cause you're lagging it, (it's not cheap.) The printer will make noise. I come so close to getting a new printer. After change the ink, it works as good as new. Just saying....

Love this printer - it does a lot for a low entry price. But, like all home printers, the cost of continued operation through printers is not insignificant.

Very easy to use and excellent print quality. Does not print in color, but for the few projects for which I need color, I go to FedEx.

Easy to set up and it prints double sided sheets. This printer is good for personal or business use. The price is excellent and you wont be dissapointed.

Bought the 660 has it last longer. Price was not too bad.

we got it on sale and it seems to be a good value, when we need it we will use it and see, got it for a back up for when the new printer toner goes out

This toner cartridge fit in my printer correctly. My printer is now back in business and the prints are nice and dark.

Being able to print large projects at home is now easy and cost-efficient thanks to this Brother ink cartridge. The ink quality is professional and crisp. I also appreciate that Brother provides an easy way to recycle the empty cartridge. Indeed, I am a very happy Brother repeat customer!

I have become tired of buying inkjet ink. It seems I was always buying it. With this I don't have to be buying ink every 3 months during my daughters school year.

The quality is very good, but it is expensive. It's a better value than the regular capacity cartridge.

I try to find old copies of textbooks for school online instead of buying them. This printer and ink combo is exactly what I need to print out my books chapter by chapter for college. It is so much cheaper to do this and the ink lasts forever. This one lasted me around 1200 pages which is amazing!
