I would have given it 5 stars but it is a little noisier than our last brother printer, it makes some very abrupt sounds. Other than that it has a great quality and when I was researching ink costs it has the lesser expensive refill cost.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this printer. Not only does it allow me to print from multiple devices wirelessly, it also prints double-sided to help save on paper! I would definitely recommend for a home office.

I was a little hesitant at first as I wanted the same printer I'd had for the last several years (j270) but of course it's no longer available. Gave this a try and no complaints at all. Sticking with Brother for great performance at a minimal price. Price not bad for replacement ink either.

I love this new printer. I always buy Brother printers and my last one I actually had it put in the shop before, to have it last even longer. This is my second printer after about 15 years! Thank you, Best Buy. YP

I’ve had mine since the pandemic started, I needed something for my home office. I love this printer! I love how I can print from my phone if I need to, just hook it up to the wi-fi!

Pretty easy set up and I like the control panel pop up but most models seem to be offering this feature. I wanted to try a brand other than HP as they are so needy and are throw away printers. They work for a while then they don't. Hoping this brand last longer.

I purchased this based on really good online reviews, and the fact it's not quite as bulky and intrusive as other combination machines. It's been working just fine, considering it's low cost. The scanner is not nearly as good as my old HP Photosmart. The scanning takes a LONG time comparatively, the software doesn't allow as much changing the image before it's saved, something as basic as cropping a photo to a smaller size. I have to open Paint to make that happen. The photo's that I've scanned were not the best either. I'm going to have to buy a separate flatbed scanner before I continue with a family genealogy and photo saving project.

print its to slow, but fax and scanner its fast its good connect with your iphone or your android very easy the app, you can fax from your smartphone, laptop, computer etc... very easy to use. i recomended.

Our old Lexmark printer was getting old and colors were not good and for what it cost to replace printhead you were better off buying new printer and heard Brother is good one. We are satisfied with this printer and does good job.

Only have had this printer for a couple of weeks. Wasn’t as easy to set up as I hoped but it maybe just me. I like that I can print from my phone using the WiFi or from my computer. It is light and easy to store on a shelf until I need to get it out to print.

This printer works great, it's always there for me when I need. It'll print no problem through USB and just needs an app in order to print wirelessly but I'd rather just do it the old way since it's quicker and less of a hassle. All in all, this it the Brother I never had growing up so thank you.

ThisAll in one fits my needs as someone who operates their own business from home I am able to do everything I need it even has an app and It can be done from my phone with a push of a button.The printer prints color photos that are vibrant. It is a must have

I love this new all-in-one. I was concerned about installation and I am a senior citizen and not tech savvy in the least. I was impressed with the easy instructions and had it up and running in no time. I thank my daughter for showing me this particular printer.

This is my second brother printer. The last one was outdated before I had to replace it. :-( We tried a different brand in between. Never again. The set up was easy. It works every time I need it. The quality is great! Very happy!

I have the brother MFC-J985DW and got the J497DW as a gift for my neighbor. Both models are very good. Print quality is very good. Ink does not dry out if printer is not used for a while. Automatic cleaning takes place also. Very satisfied.

I totally recommend this printer as a low-cost solution for any home or home office. It is so easy to set up and offers very good ink life. The ink that came with the machine lasted us over a month! Print from multiple devices and the doc scan works great.

Absolutely love this printer! I usually buy HP but the sales person recommended this for my needs I love it! Easy to set up and easy to use! Which is exactly what I wanted! So glad I ask for help instead of just buying one!

Yes it does it all print,copies and yes even fax.Just what you need to accomplished those little office tasks without leaving the house. I'm so glad I bought it and I got it on sale it normally sells for 79.99 and I caught it on sale for 59.99 a 20.00 savings thank you Best Buy.

Easy to use and added features are great. This printer replaces an older model Brother printer which did not have the automatic two-sided printing option. It’s a workhorse for a printer under $100. We use it every day and love it.
