I choose this printer because it is a scanner and also can fax. It works great. Very good service. Arrived fast. You will need to buy ink cause the ink that comes with the printer is basically a just a sample amount.

Easy set-up. It’s not a Fast printer, but Was in my price range. Ink cartridges cost is much cheaper compared to other leading brands.

I bought this printer for a friend. It was on sale and was a good deal. My brown printer is a brother and I’ve had it for 10years and never a problem

I love this printer that includes fax and scan/copy features. I use it at least 1-2 times a day and have never had any issues with it. Also, the price is awesome.

Loved the Brothers Smart Series MFC-J497DW. It’s wireless properties make it wonderful and easy to use faxing, scanning to the internet. All the other features it contains. Very glad I chose this printer.

Setup was a little bit of a challenge for Wifi but otherwise works great. Used for printing and scanning to PDF. Nice functionality in an inexpensive printer. Prints fairly fast compared to others I have owned.

It took a little work to set-up - I'm used to Apple stuff - but it seems to work well, it was very reasonable, and once it was set-up, it does the job just great.

I've had another Brother printer for a number of years now but I finally needed a printer that could print on legal-size paper (my other one only does standard size). I've owned a few Brother printers over the years and find they're the best and easiest for what I need. The only downside for me is that, with legal paper, it can't automatically print double-sided (maybe a more expensive one could?) You have to manually load the paper for each side, but it's not difficult and works well. Go online for specific details of whatever you need and how to do it. Overall, I'm glad I bought it, especially since it was on sale!

Need a quick purchase since old printer stop printing. Easy to setup without pc and above average print quality. A little slow when increasing print quality but good results when used.

Works great. Setup was very simple, very easy to use, and a lot of great features. Highly recommend if you need a reasonably priced printer with great features.

Very efficient printer. I haven't had any problems and the print quality is good. It prints immediately when I request a print unlike my previous printer (Canon). I'm happy with it so far.

It’s a nice do it all kind of printer. It does seem to use more ink than my canon pixma. It was easy to set up and easy to print from my phone or laptop.

Nice all in one printer so far for the price. Easy setup, fast printing, and so far quality prints. Will have to see how long the planned obsolesce will be. Maybe it will last longer than the 3 years of my previous brand.

Product was great. Printed well. Start up and finish was great. Issue - could not get it connected to my network or individual devices through the wireless feature on my devices. They never found it and could not add it no matter what I tried. Sadly, I had to return it. I want to desperately recommend it to a friend as well. Very upset I could not get it to work…aka…show up so I could connect or it wirelessly!

Works great, easy set up. It would have been nice if it had information on what cable I needed to buy, to set up the wired would have saved a extra trip to the store. Overall was good though.

Was easy to set up mused the fax machine immediately. Came with no cartridges. Only thing i wished that it t would automatically print a confirmation but you had to get that yourself. Other than that I wotuld recommend this produc b

I’ve had several all in one printers and this one tops them all. Functional without too many button options making it very easy to use and easy installation.

My last Brother Printer, Scanner & Fax (MFC) 490CW lasted me 13 years+. A very reliable Multi-Function Device that well lived it's life so I had decided to buy the same one and the newer version has been nicely upgraded as well.

Pleased so far with the product, my first Brother printer purchase after decades using another brand. Set up was a breeze, and the print quality is acceptable for my needs, which is typically printing documents for home use.
