Been happy with Brother printers. Bought this for my son for school. Initially bummed it did not have an ethernet connection or USB or memory port. Couldn't connect wirelessly from my laptop but son connected from his laptop fine. Works well printing from cell phone as well. Was able to scan documents and have sent to my email without issue so lack of USB/memory port not so bad. Interface is a bit tedious and slow, but with patience it is ok. Printing seemed slow with Best quality mode so suggest using that only when you really need it. Not sure how long the starter ink will work.

Decent budget printer. Very easy to set up. It takes four separate ink cartridges; one black, three colored and does seem to go through ink pretty quickly.

Easy to install. However you need to put all the ink cartridges in order for it to work. The quality for Black and white is good. I haven’t tried the quality of printing in color yet.

Very nice for price with easy enough instructions for setup, but really wanted a small compact laser printer like my brother got at another best buy that was not in the Alamo ranch branch

Love that I can send print jobs to printer wirelessly from my cell and iPad. Also love that it prints on both sides of the paper! Saving paper and energy by not having to open and flip the paper to print on opposite side!

Had some trouble getting it connected and working Has a learning curve because of all the options and things it will do. Probably not so confusing to a more technically knowledgeable person. Prints nice although slow.

I like this printer. While I dont use the color as much as some, the printer has so far been satisfying in its immediate response when demanded and the low maintenance it has required.

This is a good printer. Works well wirelessly. Printing was easy. Only complaint is it uses up the ink quickly

print quality is decent. serves my purpose. i don't think i printed 150 pages but one of my ink shows low.

I bought this all-in-one for my daughter to use at college. It was easy to set up, and she's had no problems using it. We've used a similar Brother all-in-one at home for years, and it also has worked great.

This printer is great! I enjoy using it and it does exactly what I need it to do. It is simple to use and maintain. The price makes it an even sweeter deal. I am a very pleased owner of the Brother MFC-J497DW!

This was for my High School going student Daughter. She uses it for all her school works and preparation works for many exams and competitions. Great service is given. I pay little every month and this was a great help to me.

The brother MFC-J497DW is a great printer. I was very skeptical at first, since the printer was on the cheaper side. It has been great! In is cheap and super easy to replace and is really easy to use. Worth a buy

Overall this is a really great printer. I purchased during Covid and was working from home. It’s been over six months that I’ve had the printer and I’ve only had to refill the ink one time. I use the large black ink cartridge and just the normal color cartridges and it seems to last a long time. While I prefer a laser printer I would say this is an excellent budget friendly option for home use. I have had a few issues connecting this printer to my Wi-Fi at home. It seems to disconnect rather often. But it isn’t such an issue that has caused me to regret my purchase.

Very fast printer and great with wifi connection. You download any software online, all instructions included. Takes close to nothing...i had my 8 year old do the work.

This is not the fastest printer that I have ever owned, but for the price that I got it, it does all that I need it to do. So far, no problems. Easy to operate and what it prints is very clear. Would buy again.

Had a great first time experience. Purchased online and picked up later at Wilton store. Quick and easy. I was in and out. Love the Brother products!

Aside from that, quality of print good, printer small, doesn't take up much space.

The digital panel makes it virtually infallible. It notifies when ink is low, when paper tray is empty. Gives instructions on how to clear a paper jam. It is wirelss, making it so accessable in any part of the room.

I decided to switch printer Co. due to issues with HP , 8 Conversations with HP helped decide and many reviews about my new Brother printer sealed the deal . over a month in and not disappointed yet . works great .
