The printer is easy to set up, easy to use and makes print scanning and anything else simple. Can email pdf file straight from the printer. Nice to have around the home.

Replaced an older Brother ink jet after nine years. J497 is a good machine, very easy to set up. Wifi works fine.

Love it. It's a little loud when printer starts and I've noticed that I have to be really close to it while scanning to my computer but it works great. My print quality is great!

Good printer. Ink cartridge kinda of a challenge to prepare and insert. But, printer is user friendly once set up properly .

This is a great printer. It prints quickly, quietly and with good quality. One of my favorite features is that it will print front and back.

Bought 2 of these for my girls, they said it was no problem hooking them up. I always likely Brother printers and will continue to buy them.

I’ve had a brother printer for years and decided to get the updated one. Everything seems to work fine right now and it was easy to setup.

I love Brother products and bought this to replace an ageing and malfunctioning HP inkjet. This does a fantastic job of printing both black and white and color. The only drawback is that it sucks down ink like nobody's business. This thing runs through cartridges like grain through a goose, and we do very little printing each day. So I will recommend it, but beware of this drawback.

This has everything I need...printing, fax, scanning. Also compatible with printing from mobile devices and tablets.

Prints fast and clear. Wifi setup was easy. I have my wife, my mother-in-law and me hooked up to print. Expected it to be much slower than it is. Looks good too.

This printer was super easy to set up. Great features like double sided copies, color, and WIFI connectivity. The print quality is top notch for such an affordable printer.

This has been one of the better printers I have bought. Clean prints and rather quick doing so. Scanning is a bit slow but it does what it needs to!

Excellent printer and amazing ink quality. Easy replenish makes it easier to refill my ink, and it's pretty affordable compared to my past printers.

Got this primarily for the AirPrint capability, and it works great! Love the smaller footprint and the ease of set up. Loved it so much I got one for my mother too!

I purchased this printer when my other one was on it's way out. I had no time to research anything about it or read any reviews. It happened to work out because this is a decent printer, My only complaint would be that when purchasing ink it can be hard to find in store so it is best to order online. Also that it would be helpful if you had the option to purchase black and color in a double pack but as of yet I have not seen it. Other than that neat little printer.

Looks fantastic picks up all our cell phone no problem fax with no problem and copy with no problem enjoy the very much I mean the printer

Great in the dorm saves from having to go to the library. Suite mates can share during study sessions and the ink is relatively inexpensive.

Had no issues installing the printer. The wireless printing works very well. Can't get a better printer at the price I got it for (was on sale for $50 at the time).
