One negative regarding fitbit. It relies on the app for its practical use. Another is the prolific adds/ qdvice which is distracting and redundant.

Some parts were great, but I purchased it with the intention of answering calls from it during specific activities, and returned it because that function didn't work. Attempted to troubleshoot through Fitbit forums and employees with no luck. It wouldn't maintain a Bluetooth connection to answer calls - showed the incoming call, but was never able to connect and answer. After fully charging it sometimes wouldn't turn on, but then would spontaneously start up hours later (not connected to charger). Returned it and went with a Garmin.

1. Turn off always-on display.
2. Use phone GPS instead of built-in GPS.
3. Dim the screen or enable auto brightness.

Since Google took over Fitbit, getting answers to issues with the operation and features supposedly available on the watch is practically impossible. And, from the reviews I’ve seen, I’m not alone in that opinion.
