These accent LED lights were a breeze to setup, color options are decent when using the GE app (more on that later), can be cut down to size for where you plan to place it; can be extended if you don't cut it. This GE smart LED light strip works great and integrates well with Google assistance. What I found though is that when you pair this with the google ecosystem, the color options are not as extensive if you were to just control the light from the GE app instead. Once you pair it with the google assistance though, you lose the ability to change the colors from the GE app, and instead have to use the stock colors from the google app. That is the tradeoff for automation. These lights get plenty bright underneath our entertainment center which we use as accent lights. Likes: Color options from the native GE app; plenty long for most applications out of the box; can be extended if you want to add on more LED light strips; gets plenty bright Dislikes: Google assistant integration removes some of the color options; resetting this to factor settings is a pain (look for the video on plugging/unplugging the GE smart lightbulb, it's the same concept Oh, by the way: This strip has a sticky 3M backing and it's been just fine with no issues.

The light stip is good and serves it purpose. The pros of the ligt are as below. 1) The colors produed are rellay great. 2) The quality of the strip is also great. The main cons of this light are as abelow. 1) Too pricy for the service provided. 2) Very bad interface. a) Do not connect to Alexa. b) It will connet to Google home, but after a lot of try. c) Very had to get connected to C by GE app also (Which is the main interface to control this light :) ) 3) Very hard to reset. 4)

I brought these lights as a cheaper option for my bedroom TV and I love them. They are not the easier to bend when trying to wrap around the back of the tv but it all came out great in the end. Would definitely purchase again and recommend.

I got this on a Labor Day sale to replace my rather lackluster light strip I got off Amazon. Suffice to say, it absolutely shattered those cheap things! It's got it's pros and cons however. Pros: It is blindingly bright. I'm serious, it about burned me AND my girlfriend's corneas when we plugged it in for the first time. It's also very easy to setup on it's home app and Google Assistant, connected fast and easy, works very well and hasn't failed me yet. Cons: It's by far, nowhere near 80 inches long, with the power cord sure, but not the strip itself. It only went halfway around my 55 inch TV and I had to grab a couple of extension strips to finish it up (also falsely advertised as 40 inches). Small gripe, but it's not the most flexible or incognito light strip to use. You're going to have to fight with this thing to get it around corners. Perhaps the biggest con is that the adhesive on the strips is abysmal. By that, I mean all but non-existent. You will absolutely need to invest in double sided tape and the really good kind, because these things are pretty bulky and on the heavier side. All in all, I'd say the pros level out the cons fairly well, but if this gets a revision or newer version at some point, this problems need to be ironed out and it'll be as awesome as it should be. I'd still recommend it.

While these light strips might not be as versatile as other brands like Phillips Hue, they definitely do a good job, and are very bright and colorful. Setting the lights up with the C by GE app and updating the firmware was very simple. The only issue I have with these light strips is the lame adhesive backing. You will definitely have to purchase additional adhesive or a strong double sided tape, such as Gorilla Glue, but this is a product of great quality and I really like it a lot.

Originally only bought one of these but I after I set it up in the archway and played with the colors and brightness, I bought 4 more. I set one up under my workbench, which is a lot handier than trying to install a bulky florescent light. And I have the added advantage of voice control. Easy to set up to Alexa via the GE app. Only downside is if the wireless goes out there is no voice control but you still can control it from Bluetooth. Make sure to clean the surface you are attaching the double sided tape to otherwise it won't stick very well.

These have a great range of color and brightness. They easily connect to Google Home. My only complaint would be that they seem to disconnect and not respond if left on for a long time. This means they then need to be unplugged for a while to reconnect automatically. This seems to also occur with my C by GE white bulbs. This was a great Deal of the Day; as someone who is about to build his first house I couldn't pass them up even if I couldn't use the bulbs at the moment.

Bought this for behind my 60" tv and it worked great. Had to tape it in place where I wanted it around the back edge then pull the backing off to stick it. Had to pinch corners to make it go in 90 degree turn but it works fine. We've been having a blast changing the colors from the app. It's easy to get set up. Just plug into the wall then download the app, sync it and done. Definitely will buy more from this line.

The lights are bright. The sticker doesn’t hold to the wall. You cannot connect 2 80” strips together. You have to buy multiple 40” extension strips. The marketing is not clear

These are OK light strips. They do not pair well at all with the C by GE app. It takes many many many many many many many.. many tries. It pairs quick and easily to the Google Home app. I picked these up for a steal during Black Friday. They are a excellent calue for your average consumer. Setup was easy with Google home. After that it was all downhill. The 3M adhesive didn't stick to my entertainment center , TV, or wall. The millions of colors stated are not available in the google home app either. GE and Google really need to work this out. Stays connected to Wi-Fi well and voice commands are nice.

My son loves this light strip. He uses it as his primary light in his room now. Can be voice controlled with the Google Home to turn it off or on and to change colors. Its regular price was way too high but got it for about 1/2 price around Christmas time when bundled with some other smart bulbs. Would recommend using with the Google Home app; the GE app is way to buggy and inconsistent.

Great lights, very bright! Easy to install and use

Mentions you can extend these lights up to 32ft. but it doesn't tell you you can only** do this with the overpriced extension kits. I bought 2 of these kits and when they connect, the connection does not lay flat and i'm afraid of flattening the male and female connectors and potential damaging the pins inside.

The light itself is great and it connected easily, however, it unpaired from my app and I haven't been able to figure out how to reset it. There are instructions for resetting the bulbs online but not the smart strips. I only had about 2 weeks before I had the issue and I'm still having it.

The color was bright and vibrant. It worked through the app, but I was told it is compatible with Alexa without a hub. It very well may be; but I was not able to get Alexa to communicate with it. I ended up returning it, but only because I couldn’t use voice control.

Really bright, easy to change colors with in phone app

These lights work great after you get the, all connected. I set mine up with a bridge to work with the HomePod. Save yourself a headache and make sure you download all the firmware before trying to change the light color. Very bright colors and paired with two color bulbs and it makes some great scenes!

I like that you can program it to come on and off. It also changes colors which is really cool. You do have to download the app on your phone to change the color and program it. Kind of pricey but I got it on sale for $43.99. Used it in the kitchen underneath the cabinets which lit up pretty good.

I like these lights as I put them in my kitchen under cabinet and a living room accent light. The only thing I wish is that I could use the c by GE app and Google home app at the same time. The c by GE app has more color choices with their pallet but I want to use the voice control of Google home.
