    These were the biggest headache. Software is horrible and buggy, the app itself won't register when you create an account and force closes whenever I try to add a device through my s10, the Google home app works great to set them up until you realize that you can't change the color. There absolutely is an option in the Google home app to change the color of the bulbs, it simply does nothing. When you cycle through the different colors, they are stuck permanently at warm. TL;DR Do not buy these. Spend a few extra bucks on the already overpriced smart bulb market on something with better software that won't have you pulling your hair out.

    Unable to connect to Google Home

    I have spent the last month trying to connect the $100 worth of C by GE bulbs I’ve purchased to my new Google Home Mini device. I know most people have had an easy setup process (my neighbor’s setup was seamless), but for some reason, these bulbs will not connect to my Google Home. I have followed every reset process in every combination and ordering possible... I have scoured the web for help... It has been an infuriating process and I’m surely unable to return them to Best Buy by now. I only bought the bulbs and Google Home device to set up voice-activated lighting in my apartment. By contrast, the Geeni smart plugs I bought were a breeze to setup and they work wonderfully. I wish I could say the same for C by GE. I am awaiting their email support response, but I don’t know what else to do. Google’s support hasn’t been able to help either.

      Hello, Paige. Sorry to hear this has occurred with your set up. While waiting for the response from our C by GE Service Team, it is also recommended to reset the Google device being used along with reinstalling the app. A factory reset of the bulbs is not necessarily the fix for something like this.

    These bulbs are misleading and hard to setup. They constantly cut in and out. You will need to buy a c reach bridge to get the full potential of the bulbs. Otherwise you can o lu use the c by ge app. Will no recommend this to anyone.

    Connection challenges

    To date I have yet to achieve success in getting these bulbs to sync to my wifi. Glad I got them on sale, but they're only going to be useful as standard LED bulbs as things stand. Made the rookie mistake of not keeping the packaging or they'd be going back

    I’ve had these for less than 24 hours and I’ve already had to factory reset them twice! Like one light bulb is staying connected but won’t change colors. And the other just has a mind of its own about when it wants to come on and off.

      Hi Nathan! We are sorry to hear this. Please note: These are simple Bluetooth-enabled bulbs. They have two modes: 1. Connected and listening for a command from the controller device (Google Home device, bridge, or C by GE app) , or 2. "Pairing Mode" in which they emit a Bluetooth signal for a controller device to find them so that it can establish a connection. They themselves do not "think." The device that controls them is what actually establishes the Bluetooth connection, turns them on, off, dims them, and changes their color, etc. Factory resetting the bulb should always be the very last thing you should do when troubleshooting. If you are using Google Home, simply reboot your Google Home device by unplugging it and plugging it back in. this will force it to re-establish it's connection. If you are using the C by GE app, try refreshing the page in the app or force-close and reopen the app. Remember. factory resetting your bulbs will completely sever any connection they have with the device that controls them which will end up causing you twice the amount of work since you will have to set up the lights again in the app. Resetting the lights is one way to resolve the issue, but unfortunately it is taking the longest route to get to the same destination.     Absolute garbage!

    I currently have 13 c by ge bulbs; they used to work, sometimes, now all of them have failed. I have reset to factory about a dozen times, but now none of the 13 devices will work on three different Google Home devices. Some cannot be recognized by the home app; some just can't be added at all. This has to be a systemic/software failure; there is no way 13 devices can fail at the same time multiple times. Absolute garbage. Do not waste your money. Wish I could get a refund.

      Hi there! We are sorry to hear that your bulbs are no longer responding to voice commands. Please note: The probability of 13 lights all failing or losing their connections at the same time is extremely low. We would recommend contacting Google Home Support. Our smart lights are simply Bluetooth-enabled bulbs. Just like other Bluetooth-enabled devices, they have two modes: "Paired" (they are connected to your Google Home device and listening for it to tell them what to do) or they are in "Pairing Mode" (they are disconnected and emitting a Bluetooth signal so that your Google Home device can establish a Bluetooth connection with them. The bulbs themselves are not responsible for establishing the connection, or for voice commands. These are functions that your Google Home device is responsible for. For the last few weeks, we have seen a large number of users experiencing this issue. All of which have been Google Home users. The good news is most of them have been able to resolve the issue by simply rebooting their Google Home devices. Factory resetting your bulbs is not a recommended solution. Although. it will resolve the issue, but it's taking the hardest route to get to the same destination.     Have to reset them daily

    These lights go unresponsive daily. I’ve not gone a single day that I haven’t needed to reset them. I can honestly say they are the most frustrating product I’ve ever purchased. Colossal waste of time and money.
