    My son bought these for his grandparents for Christmas because he didn't know what to buy them. He loves them and said they were very cool. Not sure how often the grandparents will use and he was unsure if they understood how to use the app. My son said it was easy though.

    I bought these lights because I wanted to have a certain mood and style in my room while I record for my YouTube videos. These do just that and because of the color change wheel, you can have it set on just about any color you choose!

    I have to say, I'm deeply disappointed in these lights. They may be super easy to set up and their Google Assistant compatibility is nice (even if Google's interface for it is kind of a mess)... But I have never, ever, ever dealt with a professional release that's this shoddy. The biggest problem with these bulbs is that at least once per month, they simply stop working with Google Assistant, requiring me to go through a complex reset and re-pairing process to get them working again. It's an absolute pain, especially when compared to Philips Hue bulbs that just work. Seriously, if these bulbs would simply stay connected, they'd be an easy 4 stars... 5 stars, if they could manage to connect both to the app and Google Assistant at the same time. I'm a patient person who likes gadgets, so I put up with the monthly resetting, but for the average customer who just wants their items to work, there is no way at all this would fly. I'd return these and switch over to Hue, if I could.

      Hi there! We are sorry to hear that your Google Home device is dropping the connection to your bulbs. Please note: These are simply Bluetooth connected bulbs. Since they are "Made for Google" devices, your Google Home device establishes a direct Bluetooth connection with them and therefore tells them what to do. The bulbs themselves have two modes: 1. Connected and waiting for a command from your Google Home device, or 2. In "Pairing Mode" in which they are emitting a Bluetooth signal for your Google Home device to find them so that it can establish a connection to them. The bulbs themselves do not do any of the "thinking" when it comes to communication with your Google Home device. They simply wait for it to tell them what to do. When your Google Home device drops it's connection to your bulbs, simply reboot your Google Home device (unplug it and plug it back in). This will force it to re-establish it's connection to the bulbs. Always ensure to reboot your Google Home device BEFORE unlinking or resetting your bulbs to prevent having to set up everything again in the app. Unlinking or resetting the bulbs completely severs any connection your Google Home device has to them so this will only cause you to have to do 2x the work to reconnect them again.     Instead of putting LED lightstrips on the wall of my kid's room these lightbulbs put into the ceiling fan works great. No connection issues using Bluetooth and the lights are nice and bright in white. Highly recommended.

    Why would you not want to set the mood for your studio, living room, or even the bed room with the assist of google. This light can set the mood or just have the entertainment value of customizing the colors to set the mood.

      Hi Quark! We are glad that you are enjoying your lights! Our bulbs are actually Bluetooth-enabled. They themselves do not connect to Wifi. They instead connect to a Wifi-enabled device such as a Google Home device, or one of our smart switches or smart plug. That device then tells the bulb what to do when you control it. If the bulb is losing connection, it's possible it's out of Bluetooth range, or if you are using Google Home, your Google Home device may need to be rebooted.       Hi there! While the bulbs themselves connect via bluetooth, with the addition of a hub, being a Smart Plug or one of our in-wall switches, they'll be connected to WiFi and controllable away from home! Don't hesitate to reach out to our support team at [email protected] for more info.

    They tried, they failed. It was promising to see a marketed "Built for Google" stamp, but it's far from it. It had Hub issues that require constant Google app device sync refreshing. I tried to work with C by GE and Google CX support teams and neither side would take fault with the failures of this system. The companion app that you frequently need to reboot the system to make it work with Google is also just as horrible. Just avoid this product and invest in Philips Hue, Sylvania, or any other system. Don't trust me? Check Reddit too.

    I love my new smart lights! It's fun thinking up funny names for them - Hazel, Gracie, Igor, Laney, War Room, Bruno! I even bought more lamps so that I could have more smart lights!

    Really Bright, Too Bright At Its Lowest

    Works well. App could be a bit easier to setup automation. But the thing that bothers me the most is that the brightness isn't low enough to be a night light. I specifically bought these for the dimming feature and the lowest setting ("5%") is still pretty bright.
