Great light for beginner Home Automation

Good when on sale but better options available.

The only issue I have found with these is that the connectivity is funky at times and can be troublesome reconnecting and configuring when it happens. I have since found other options that I prefer with Phillips.

Great smart lights with no hub

Great buy but needs a hub.

The packaging is misleading and the store associate also indicated no hub would be needed to use with Alexa. But that is not true. But they will work with Google without an additional hub. However, the product is very cost effective and there is no reason not to recommend it if your Smart Home revolves around Google and not Alexa.

Posted .Hi TechMom! Thanks for taking the time to review our product. We are sorry to hear that you were unaware that our smart lights require a Smart Bridge device to connect to Alexa. Our bulbs are Bluetooth-enabled, so they can not connect to a Wifi network without the use of a "Smart Bridge device." They can however connect directly to any Google Home device since they are "Made for Google." All Google Home devices come equipped with a special Bluetooth controller that can connect up to 6 of our bulbs at the same time. We have several "Smart Bridge" devices that we currently sell including the "Smart Switch, Smart Plug, Sol, and C-Reach.
