Very easy to use and setup

I used Google to setup in minutes. Only down side is range. They have to be rather close to the hub to operate so it limits to one room if you only have one Google home.

The Automation is Nice

The app is sometimes a little glitchy, but it’s nice when it works. You can dim these bulbs, control with Alexa, schedule different scenes and more.

Additional bulbs for my whole house

I originally purchased the Google Smart Light Startup Kit which had only one bulb. This 4 pack with the smart plug was on sale for $34.99 so I took advantage of the savings. I did not need to use the smart plug as I already had the Google Assistant from the original starter kit. These C by GE lights work very well and provide bright light at 100% or it can be dimmed to as low as 10%. I did not have to download the C by GE app because my installed Google Home app automatically recognized the bulbs. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Good setup for the cost

I’ve had to fix the WiFi connection already once since owning them but day-to-day they work well and the dimming feature is worth it for an apartment.

Use with Google Assistant

The setup walks you through the steps, but it does take time to get everything set up in the GE app and then make it connect with the Google Assistant. After that though, smooth sailing!

Great light!

But for the price I figured worth the gamble. They work extremely well with Google Home. The dim, turn on individual, can be grouped into routines, and everything they expensive ones can do. Since they are bluetooth obviously cant be super far but worked in every room on my second floor. Also if you accidentally flick the switch and again the light turns on and after like 10-20 seconds it is back up and hooked to the switch that's hooked to the wifi.

Prefer Phillips Hue

Turns out the interaction between the hub and network isn't flawless. We swapped out to the Phillips Hue bulbs and have seamless functionality. The GE often couldn't find the lights, wouldn't turn things on or off and required a 3rd party connection between Google and the network etc. We ended up returning the items.

Very convenient

I wanted more of a white light and these are more yellow. Besides that, I like how convenient it is to turn on/off from my phone and dim the lights. I would recommend this product.

A Great Value and Excellent Customer Service

The bulbs and plugs were relatively easy to set up. I integrated them with Google Home app and Google Nest Mini. I needed some guidance setting up on/off schedules, and c by ge website chat was very helpful. I had one plug that stopped operating and would not reset. I contacted c by ge through the website and, again, those I talked to were very helpful. The plug is being replaced under manufacturer's warranty. I got rid of all my lamp timers. Lamps turn on and off on schedule (routine), or by voice command. I like the dimmable feature. Very happy with the product.

Smart tech for an affordable price

I don’t know if it’s just a software issue or what. But I will tell you this. I’m about sick of rebooting and adding my bulbs so they turn on and off by using voice control. I guess you get what you pay for. Do they work? Sometimes! Are they bright? Yes they can be adjusted to be so or not. Would I recommend buying these? Probably not, but hell I did so if your feeling lucky give them a shot! lol ooh yeah I purchased two box sets the first set all worked the second set all DOA! Smh come on GE what’s going on with this product!??

They work well enough after you set it up

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't know what to say, but I'm new to all the smart home stuff, and f you want a more comprehensive review, there are many others to read which can provide more information, but for me personally, I bought these bulbs pretty much because they were the cheapest I could find. The bulbs are pretty bright, which is a good thing, and they can be dimmed using the downloadable app, another good thing. It took me a while, but I eventually got it to connect to my Alexa speaker so they can be voice-controlled, and I didn't need to buy a hub to make it work, I think there's a "bridge" or something built into the smart plug. What more is there to say? They're light bulbs... they go on and off and provide good lighting when you want it. If you can set them up, they are smart bulbs which work well enough, they do a fine job providing light when asked to do so; I'm happy with them.

Easy Peasy!

I have some cheaper bulbs, but prefer these GE over them, came with a smart plug that I use to run a fan at night. I have 2 sets of lamps in 2 bedrooms and the plug all working within a half hour. I can now dim the lights, set up morning and bedtime routines, run or stop the fan with a push of a button or a voice command. This is great for energy efficiency, cool technology, comfort, and most importantly...laziness LOL. Awesome product that will pay for itself way before needing replacement.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have an iPhone Apple HomeKit requires all these bridges to be used to work with your iPhone so I was looking for some smart bulbs that were simple and easy to use. I already had a Google Nest Hub and Nest Mini and to learn that these work with just bluetooth OR you can use a wifi bridge if you want, I was sold! They instantly connected to my Google Nest products via bluetooth and work so fast. I started with just a two-pack a year ago and came back to purchased more and more to share with friends and family because it makes having smart lights so easy!

These GE bulbs and plugs are an easy set up on a dual network.

Part of a bundle

This is for my daughter's house and there was some problem getting it synced with Alexa, but GE support got her through it. Neither one of us is very tech minded, but GE helped.

I love that I can dim them and set them to timers and make adjustments all from my phone. I didn't relize though that in order to add it to google assistant that I needed a google mini, nest or hub.

Good bulb

At least with hue bulbs you can use them with different hubs. Got them at good price so they were worth what we paid for them.
