Like with most Call of Duty games, it’s a call of Duty Game. It’s not bad, but I would go as far to say it’s award winning either. I don’t play by myself. I normally take COD as a time to catch up with distant friends over Xbox. There is no maingame story, which I know was a big selling point for Black Ops.

I'm sorry, I know nothing of these games. I purchased as a Christmas Gift. At this time, I have no idea how much this game will be liked. I can say I have purchased Black Ops games prior to #4 and my kids/grandkids have loved the previous games. I am sure they will have fun with this one also..

I purchased COD4 mainly for the Blackout BR mode. I am enjoying all modes but the BR mode is fun and diverse. The looting system is taking some getting to used to as well as driving. That's why this isn't 5 stars. But overall I recommend COD4 for those who enjoyed previous generations.

Graphics and layout are as expected from a Call of Duty game. Black Ops games had been the opportunity they had to present an engaging conspiracy filled story mode, but they decided to loss fans and gain micro transactions.

the lack of campaign made me wait before buying. The game still has one of the best FPS mechanics out but I honestly buy it for the story. As long as you have friends to play with it's fun. Otherwise, not a lot of replay.

Fast paced action, with specialized classes to promote team-based tactics. Can definitely go solo as well. Although there is a seemingly steep learning curve, the game is straight forward enough to allow any dedicated player to become competitive pretty quick. Give it a try!

I have a love hate relationship with this game, it depends on the day and the servers. It doesn’t feel as cheap as the jumping off the walls ones, but it’s not as cut and dry as the first BLOPs - I would have preferred a straight remake or remaster of that game.

No single player campaign, reused maps from previous black ops, and on disc locked DLC. It's a real shame because the game is so smooth and some added multiplayer modes are very fun. Control and heist were addicting and zombies was great. Blackout, battle royal mode, wasn't my cup of tea I enjoy PUBG more however I can see why some would love it. However, content for me felt light, there are 4 Zombie maps available at launch however you only get access to the 4th map "classified" if you purchase a season pass.... I thought the whole point of getting rid of single player was to offer more multiplayer content?! Best COD I've played in years, but light on content depending on your play style. This is a must have at $30 but not at $60.

The new blackout mode is fun, but it is a little late to the show with pubg and fortnite already providing many of the same features, while also doing so in a better way. Everything else is the same old stuff.

Every COD game has been the same for as long as I remember. This one, is essentially also the same, but it feels like they actually cared to make meaningful updates this time as well. The new Zombies mode is fun too and the addition of Blackout to the series is great.

While we've all come to know and love call of duty we also expect a game with at least a back story to it, one of which this game no longer has.. zombies, online and some new "blackout" mode is all you'll get.

Couch co-op is the reason I used to get most first person shooters. But as the games got more technical and advanced, the less you were able to do split screen. However, Black Ops 4 has stuck to their guns, no pun intended, and kept couch co-op alive. Such a fun game.
