Customers are saying

Customers commend *Call of Duty: Ghosts'* impressive graphics and engaging multiplayer experience, with many also praising the game's story and campaign. Positive feedback also highlights the action-packed gameplay and affordable price point for an older title. A common criticism, however, centers on the expansive map sizes.

    Good COD but not great

I have enjoyed COD over the years. This is the first one that did not meet expectations. I personally thought it was dumbed down and more teen oriented. Nothing wrong with that but if you want more tactical shooters go with Battlefield 3 or 4.

I've been a fan of the COD series since Modern Warfare 1 almost 10 years ago. I had originally dismissed this game but returned to it about a year later and realized that I really had some fun with it. The multiplayer is great and (Infected is my favorite mode!) and the Extinction alien mode is WONDERFUL! In my opinion, the best CoDs are MW1 and BOPS2 because I found both to have very level, even multiplayer and I can't say this game has the same levity, but I still recommend it. It's very fun.

If you are a COD fan you will definitely love Ghosts on the PS4. The graphics are ridiculous and that baseball slide is great. That slide alone is a definite plus for the game. I also like the addition of Squad mode and Extinction. One of the big differences from other CODs is how you earn your attachments and perks. Now you earn points that you can use to unlock differents attachments and perks no matter what level you are. Overall is a great game that is a must buy if you like shooters.

By far the worst Multi-Player of the COD Series

    Posted .

The basis of my review is in comparison to the MW series. As a dedicated fan to that multi-player, I used that series as a benchmark in comparison to Ghosts. What I was hoping that IW working with a new slate, would come up with something new and fresh for the series. This is how I felt after less than a week of playing both the campaign and multi-player. GOOD I'll start with what I do like about the game, which isn't much. On the PS4, the graphics do look sharp. I can't make comparisons to how it looks on PS3 or 360. But from what I've seen, I do think it's a good looking game. As far as next generation console graphics, I can't make a comparison to other games just yet. But I feel the overall look of the game is really great. The campaign isn't what I imagined, far from it actually. Although different, it was new and enjoyable. If you think the storyline for MW was far-fetched, Ghosts takes outrageousness to a whole other level. Like all other COD campaigns, this one was of course short and sweet. It's like the food or candy that you love to eat, but you're not wowed by it anymore. I do love the new weapons, and small quirks (the ability to jump above stacked platforms and the run and slide) which of course you'll be able to do in multi-player as well. Asides from these highlights, there's not much else about the game to revere. BAD I can't begin to tell you how much the feel of the gameplay of this installment feels in comparison to MW1, 2, and 3. There's little nuances that makes it feel something familiar and completely odd and new at the same time. I'm not just talking about the new weapon mods, killstreaks, perks, etc. Drawing your weapon to reaction time of shooting your enemy first feels way off compared to MW. To me it's night and day. I don't enjoy the pace of the game this way and it makes it so frustrating to play. The layout of the maps also are a big negative. Depending on which map you play, some more than others, players/teams can benefit from taking a stance in a certain area to pin-down the other team. (Mostly by snipers and other campers lurking in small confined areas that are difficult to take on unless you have a group of people that go with you in force). In theory, these maps are strategic for clan type play which in that case, would be ideal. But c'mon, 90% of the people who play COD, don't play in organized teams/clans. IW, should realize that and stop making maps with so many blindspots where people can camp all day. There are many other things I could talk about this game, but I'll say this last as my biggest peeve. The parity of low-ranking players versus highly ranked player in regards to killstreaks and mods is the largest disparity I've ever seen in the COD series. If you're high up your ranking and unlocked almost anything and everything, you have a supreme advantage against low-level players. While I understand that these same players also had to go through the same rigors, it makes it incredibly unpleasant to be killed 10 different ways in a game. It's become overkill to the point of it being comedic. I really miss the days of MW1 and the simple killstreak perks. CONCLUSION I've had this game for less than a week, and I've decided to trade it in for something else (not BF4). I have MW1-3 and Black Ops 1 and have never felt any animosity towards those titles in regards to multi-player. This will most likely be my final COD purchase ever. They had a great run as the front-runner of console FPS, but like many things in life, good things come to an end. And for COD, there time has come and gone.

Great COD gameplay, the saga continues

COD continues to come up with the best first shooter games to date. This is no exception to Ghosts. It has a variety of new perks you can choose from to make your character stronger to your playing needs. The one thing I do not really like is that the maps are a little too big and there are way to many spots for campers to hide and kill you easily without you been able to determine where they killed you from. Overall another great COD game and I cant wait until they decide to come up with a Black ops 3 in the future.

ok.1st I will say I love call of duty.i like battlefield 4.yes.but im more run and gun.i don't camp,i don't play weak,if you u know what I mean! so when ghost came out I said hey, it wont be bad.i knew it wouldn't be a better so called new cod.but when I played at first i was so mad.the maps have to many doors too many openings and the layouts are just bad, the reason I say the maps are bad is because.they way they are built, u get killed from behind 60% of the time.the other 40% you get killed by a guy/girl camping.then thinking about after you get over the camping and getting killed fast from behind.next you still have to deal with the horrid spawning system.they spawn an enemy right behind u and vice versa.i am a really good player on psn.every cod I play im always ranked high with a good k/d ratio.but in ghost im below 1.0.because of these bad maps and spawns.also this game is slowly but surely getting to be more and more like battlefield.the maps are way to big.sad to say I hate this game.but since I paid 60$ I will play it to get my moneys worth.now if you are reading this and have yet to buy this game, I say if u can get it new for 30$ or less go for it.but if not.pass.im starting to get frustrated with this series.

Always like COD games. feel like you are the soldier. Didn't do too much online co-op. Just single player campaign is worth your time. Let along the unbeatable price during black friday. Last year's COD is always a bargain. Go for it.

Not much has changed with the latest game in the call of duty franchise. But that doesn't mean its a bad thing. Multiplayer is still fast and fun and will make up the majority of time most people will put into the game. The maps are balanced and provide a different environment per map. The story isnt very good and unbelievable... But who buys call of duty for the story?

This game is great. I have owned 4-5 CoD games and this is the first one where I actually enjoyed playing Campaign mode. The story is absolutely awesome and the graphics are better. Multiplayer is standard - nothing much different than the others although the maps seem bigger. It's good old classic shoot-em-up fun. Get it!

Multiplayer: The online game play is fun, noticeble difference from the most recent game (BlackOps 2). Weapons are slightly the same as before. Killing Steak tactics was a bit of a disappointment. Perks were really different this time, i kinda like the set up. Fun game and players are always online.

I was tired of flying and running on walls in the we COD games; so I decided to go back to good ol' "boots on the ground" way of life. I didn't like this game back in the day, but now I have new found respect for it with all the other garbage out there.

Call of Duty: Ghosts Native 1080p on PS4, Upscaled

I am getting Killzone Shadow Fall, but now I am also getting the COD GHOST too! It has been confirmed that the PS4 version is running 1080p.... Which means if you want to play the best COD GHOST in the next generation... The PS4's COD GHOST is going to be the definitive version to play!!! "Infinity Ward's Mark Rubin has confirmed that Call of Duty: Ghosts will run natively at 1080p on PlayStation 4, and is upscaled to 1080p from 720p on Xbox One. "We optimized each console to hit 60 FPS and the game looks great on both," Rubin said."

my first ps4 game and call of duty game, my experience was good but i did not expected it to be that short, but the good thing is that the multyplayer compesates it, amazing multyplayer, if you are going to buy this buy it for the multyplayer.

This is a great game. If you're looking for realism then BF4 might be your choice, but I stick with this one because of the online play. I like just going around and doing objectives and just having fun. Good game that sticks to the basics.

I picked this game up around the holidays so I got it for $8. Definitely worth $8. That being said this was one of the first games released for the next gen consoles and does reflect that graphically. Also one of the few games to allow split screen co-op play so thumbs up for that.
