This is a great first person shooter with unbelievable graphics, exciting campaign (although its short), and even better multiplayer. If you're looking for a first person shooter with a plethera of weapons, gizmos, and gadgets to earn, this game deserves a shot. A little expensive, but second to none in my opinion.

The story is great but a little short. They improved the multilayer for offline so you can create a class now offline. They added a ton more guns which is sweet, but also something new, titles and emblems. They can be unlocked through challenges and displayed in matches. They have also added even more things that are great but the only downside is people camping, just don't do it.

I was always a Socom fan and will always be. However, when I began to play this game I became a huge and addicted fan to Modern Warfare. My daughter loves this game as well. She beat the game in 3 days!... it took me a week! I still enjoy playing this game and the story line is what makes it even more interesting for me. The best part of this game (for me) is the on-line portion of it. I can stay on-line playing this game for HOURS at a time! It is so much fun and it is very addictive. This is a great purchase for those "videoit" action junkies such as myself. I can’t wait for Black Ops to come out! Enjoy.......

The multiplayer is never ending fun! I've spent countless hours playing this with my friends. Its very challenging because there's always somebody better then you. Graphics and realizme is out of this world. My only issue although the campain is fun, its extremely short.

Okay just like everyone else has stated, this game is one of the best games of the year hands down. The fact that I only paid $40 for mine at Best Buy for the PS3 was just the greatest deals for gamers. Let me tell you how big this game is, when I went to Best Buy to get Call of duty: modern warfare 2 the cashier was telling me how great the game was and he even said that we was going to purchase the game on his break. Other than that this game has over exceeded my expectations as far as an overall game, but online is where it really hits the target. It's so addictive because There is so many unlockables in the game it's crazy because you always find your self playing the game for atleast 10 hours a day. All my friends play the game with me and it's something to do when I get home from school and finished my homework. I could go on and on about how great the game is but I'd rather be playing it lol. MUST BUY!!!!!!!!!!!

The story mode so far is great. I am an online player and have only spent a short time in story mode. As far as the online play goes, I have completely enjoyed the new experience. The new version includes lots of extras such as accolades, emblems and death streak bonuses. They have worked on lobby connectivity issues. The game now searches for the best host and will move the game to another host if one is lost or experiencing problems. The kill streak rewards have been greatly expanded and there are now death streak bonuses. There are so many new additions that it would take a book to describe them all. Most of the new features are right on target for great game play. I do miss having grenades and claymores at the same time but that is really my only complaint. Overall I give this game an A+ rating. It is by far the best online war game out there.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is an excellent game. An action packed, interactive, first person shooter that beats any other war game. The graphics, weapons, and vehicles are spectacular. The campaign mode also ties in nicely with the first modern warfare, and has surprising twists. Online, like in any other Call of Duty game, is awesome; hours of fun! The only thing bad about this game is online hackers/cheaters. However, most of these problems are always patched.

Overall, this is a good game to buy. Pro: Another COD, and COD is always good. Good control! Just vivid. We have special ops in this version, and it somehow cover the short story line for one player. In the multi-player mode, you can choose your killstreak rewards now, which makes this game more freedom. And even we have pro for each perk. Con: Short story line, 6 hours is enough to finish. Some of the killstreaks are too strong, and it is not uncommon to see enemy's air-supports flying throughout the sky, which of course makes the game boring. Additionally, Nuke, the 25 killstreak rewards, I personally always quit the lobby once it says enemy;s "Nuke is coming, it is over". Yap, since it is over, why don't I just quit, or I get one more death for my record.

It was difficult at first to get use to the realistic side of this 1st person shooter. This is my first time owning and regularly playing a COD game. It was hard to get use to aiming and then shooting, the blood that increases on your screen as you get shot, decreasing your ability to see, and it's harder to shoot back when getting shot. This is a very fun multiplayer game, especially online. The gamers themselves can get a little out of control but otherwise it's a blast. The only thing that can be frustrating is when you're playing online and if there's lag, you can end up thinking your enemey is closer or farther away than he really is, or your shank or shot doesn't always register. One other thing is that sometimes it accidently shanks when I try to move quick and messes up my firing. It use to happen a lot because I wasn't use to the controls. It still occurs every now and then, despite being use to the controls.

all I can say is WOWWW!!.. this game has it all. it blew me out of my seat. Being in the military I have played a lot of shooter games. but this game is intense. the moment you start the campaign mode it puts you right in the front seat of a gun fight. the graphics is excellent and the mechanics of the game is awesome!!.. replay value is extremely high!. you can play at different levels beggining with recruit mode, or if youre a seasoned war veteran, you can pick the veteran mode! ( its more like massacre mode! LOL) online play lives up to the hype, and then some! You have to have this game in your collection. Ill be playing this game for a long time.

first off, the campaign was terrific. i enjoyed every single minute of it, your teammates are more responsive (unlike cod 4) and the graphics are magnificent. but the campaign was too short, it took me 4 hours to complete it. now the multiplayer.....disappointing.....just as bad as the world at war multiplayer, all the guns (except submachines and snipers) are a 2 hit kill at any range with stopping power. in all honesty stopping power should'nt even be in this game since there is no juggernaut...juggernaut was stopping powers clear counterpart in the previous cods. now the killstreak rewarsds, the 11 killstreak rewards are broken....i have gotten 27 kills with a chopper gunner one time...this should never happen, you dont even need to aim with it to get kills, thats how strong it is, and it has an infinite stream of bullets. the chopper gunner should have to reload like the ac130, that would make it more balanced. however cold blooded + stingers and the chopper is down, so its not entirely unbalanced. now the attachments, the heartbeat sensor and grenade launcher attachments are what really annoy players in the gameplay. the grenade launchers do not take up the perk 1 which is wrong because when a teamfull of players are using greande launchers with danger close, you guaranteed a loss, blast shield will not help. the spawn system is awful, sometimes, the enemy will even spwn right behind you. some of the deathstreaks in this game are unnecessary --via pain killer and final stand. the main purpose of putting painkiller in this game was so experienced players will not trap you in your spawn area in domination -- cod4 is famous for this, but the maps are so diverse that there will never be a situation where your team will be spawn trapped, juggernaut, if anything should take the place of painkiller, and final stand should be replaced with last stand, players have always hated the last stand perk. they made martydom which was another problem in the previous cods, a deathstreak, which is a nice band aid to the problem. however the riot shield and snipers are awesome.

The graphics are great, the story is a little boring. But the multiplayer is were its at. If you enjoy playing on line this is a great game. Plenty of different games to play online from free for all to search and destroy . Wouldnt buy it if you dont play online.

Good game but not the greatest. Single player is fun but kinda short. I know many people say its like 4 hours but it took me 6 hrs and 52 min to beat it. Not bad but I feel many of the levels are just too short. Muiltiplayer is where its all at. The only thing is that there is a max of 18 players. I wish it where more since most of the games I own on PS3 and PC have more than 18 players. The graphics are great but not the greatest. There are some low res textures everywhere. I wish you could shoot peoples arms and legs off and such like in World at War. Overall its great unless you get it on PC then your stupid.

The original Modern Warfare set the standard for the FPS genere on the next-gen consoles and although I am a fan of MW2 it simply doesn't live up to the hype. It is a solid game but I prefer the original. The online is similar and although it allows more customization it isn't groundbreaking. MW2 is simply the origianl with a little bit a jazzing up, that is it. The kept some of the original guns (M16, AK, P90) and added some nice additions (SCAR, TAR). You can now customize your killstreaks and they added emblems and images for the gamertag which you unlock when you complete certain requirements such as calling in helicopters, shooting enemies, etc. Overall this game is solid, yes solid, not the best game ever like everyone and their mother thinks. Three ways to play: single campaign, co-op missions, and online multiplayer. The single player campaign is very exciting, however, I am finding myself spending most of my time playing the co-op, as this is the best feature. You can play with either a friend on your system split screen or online with a buddy. The online campaign is just a good as the first COD4 with some added features and much better graphics. You should have a Dualshock 3 controller because this game is excellent with the rumble feature. I purchased it at a discounted price on Best Buy, however, this game is great even at full price.

This CoD is everything the last Modern Warfare got right and oh so much more. The campaign was short in my opinion (clocked around 6 hours on regular difficulty), but the content of that alone made the price-tag worth it. Then there's the multiplayer mode which, to be honest, is the real reason I and many others bought or would buy this game. It's phenomenal, with only the occasional hiccup when a host drops out (it doesn't do like CoD: WaW and end the game, it transfers it to another player). More weapons, challenges, kill streak rewards....not a single complaint for it! Buy it, play it, love it.

This game will blow your mind. One caution though, if you are purchasing it as a gift for a younger family member, set it up for them and read the cautionary statement. Some of the levels are disturbing and not suited for younger players, hence the mature rating. Overall though this is one of the most exciting FPS games I have ever played. The tone is grittier and the AI will make you regret hasty decisions.The weapons selection is good, and unlike some other games, cover is paramount. I would not be surprised if this game becomes game of the year.

We all know everyone plays COD for the multiplayer. The problem here is that on the PSN almost every game you get into is hacked and everything is going crazy. Really hard to enjoy with people constantly cheating. The other downfall is no Co-op in PSN. Get this game for the storyline Co-op and the story mode.

One of the best FPS (first person shooters) ever. Even if COD: black-ops is coming soon, you must have this one. Great gameplay, graphics, single player campaign a bit short but the special ops campaign compensates. Multiplayer is even better. Easy to learn, to use, lots of features, guns, perks, killstreaks, trophies, awards, etc, you even get perks for dying! (deathstreaks). -which is not cool in my book, but what the hell...

First of alll, from what I've seen so far and read, if you enjoyed Call of Duty 4, you'll love this game so much you won't ever go back to COD4. So, I suggest you sell COD4 and use whatever store credit towards this game. This game has everything; story mode co-op, mini-game missions (spec-ops), online gameplay has expanded more.. There's just NO reason ever to go back to COD4. And if you're still playing World at War, you're an idiot. Everybody knows that game is garbage, haha. Sell your COD4/COD5. Buy this game, you will not regret it.
